Hi all, yesterday I wrote a letter to ytsejam's list and like in the past the only answer that I saw is stupid and without sense. Graham if you don't like Korn I don't care about it! I just would some informations and not your fucking comments! Where are you from Graham?? In the America?I thought that your country was the most free in the world but if you talk with me in this way I think that isn't true!! IF I like others bands and not only DT can I have however some good answer ?? Every time that I say something I received only attacks!(once time i asked one ting about Soulfly and I had the same type of answer!) But are we "friends" or what? bye to everyone that are agree with me...

I would have very many e-mail's friends ,I have no prejudice! Cosimo - Milan (ITALY)

Being a dedicated Sava-fan and all here are my recommendations:

Gutter Ballet for sure! if u dont have this album u dont have anything.. Edge of Thorns and Sirens arent alike but still they kick butt, especially the first one is brilliant..sirens is their first release ever and the arrangements arent too inspired, but what the heck its heck its rock'n'roll Edge of Thorns has awesome ballads, great production and i cant think of any riff that isnt unique, only Oliva used to play this way...while when u listen to petrucci,u sense u've heard his riffs before (from lifeson to vai etcetc) :) Dead winter dead,in a few words its the best concept album ever, yeah even better than Operation Mindcrime(imho)..its their best concept work too, both wake of magellan and streets cannot compare to it,trust me these are the must-buy..oh i'd suggest Hall of the MOuntain King as well since its pure metal,u can distinguish Oliva's playing from miles away

as about the rest..dontdontdont even think of buying fight for the rock..even savatage themselves call it "fight for the shit" :) dungeons i dont have, nor handful of rain, but they arent too good..at least so i've heard from the most dedicated Sava-fans. hm did i forget anything..streets is great too but i'm afraid u already have to buy many more :)..and i dont know about their best of,live albums but well if u have the rest they arent worth it..oh btw if u buy any Sava cd ,make sure u find the latest releases with the bonus tracks and all,its really worth it..thats all folks ,hope it helped..anthing else just ask

I noticed Trevor made mention of this Canadian musician in his sig. He's one hell of a one man band. On his early stuff he played everything except drums for the studio recordings. (Guitar, bass, & keys) Last I heard he was a studio ONLY musician for Celine Dion. Any Jammer comments on Aldo Nova? The really cool think was noticing in Netscape Mail the words "Aldo Nova" in the "subject" Box. One of Aldo Nova's albums was titled "Subject Aldo Nova!" Just kinda' cool, that's all.... Must be to many of those Labrie non-filters.

Now playing Fates Warning "Parallels"..... And liking it!

Right now I'm listening to radio and what do I hear? Some rap or what is it called? Hip-hop or something like that are making shit out of a tune called Celebre Addagio, it's a classical peace, I played with wind orchestra. I hate all who do this! If they can't write their own music, then they shouldn't be copycats. As for Bahr wars... I think he isn't right. After all he started with bootleging for money. I remember trading with a fellow jamer and countrymen Matej "Mato" Setinc, for just blank tapes. But what do I know? Just keep it off jam. And finally some DTC. I like You Not Me very much. Also like most of the new material, but some songs are just too mellow(Anna Lee)... Also Hollow Years is just the type of ballad to be on the radio. I think that Scarred is really evolving in it's 2nd half... Just my opinion, but i stand by it! :) Take care all. -- Sebastjan Videc StDeVil [sebastjan.videc@uni-mb.si ] [... Well, I know the exact feeling you mean. The feeling of telling someone you have something that they don't can feel exciting, but at the same time - to me the exciting part has always been HELPING them get what I have and they don't. I don't mean this for things that have OTHER value (a piece of Vai's neck that he smashed live, a Portnoy drumstick, a signature). That is apples and oranges. Those hold value to me because they remind me of a great show. I actually see what you refer to "time is passing" as a GOOD THING. Before I came to the jam I had a circle of friends that I traded with. The thrill of calling these friends to tell them that I have NEW stuff is because I would be helping them either a) buy their own or b) giving them a copy. Thanks to all the trading on the jam I can't wait for my friend from Colorado to come down so we can do a MASSIVE trade session.

I do know what you mean about the EXCLUSIVE feeling you have - but if you can't share it just isn't worth it. And btw, I don't even care about people that charge a little extra to make the copies and etc. If they want to, I have the right not to buy it.

And don't take it personal Jon K. I can understand the thrill you are talking about. I just think the "new age" will be better for fans.

Yawn! I should be getting ready for work right now, but I'm not. Whoop-ee! To clear up the only thing I believe to be a variant issue anymore in this melee I've prompted: I paid $25 for the CD-Rs I bought from the Jim Colberg era when that's what they cost; I refuse to ship without insuring and registered CDs in the mail. Call me wary, I developed Mike Bahr Syndrome, a variant on Gulf War Syndrome. And I said it clearly in one of my posts: I would rather have these not sell because people don't want to hear them, not because they're "not worth the price". Heck, I can always listen to them and all the ones I have left are actually the ones that I still want and are A- or above. Notice how I don't go into a sales pitch here. I bought discs from fans rather than 'leggers to help them out before, and I would do it again (even though one is now taking shots at me on the Jam). I bought Home Sweet Home from someone (not taking shots at me but taking it private) for $25 when I could have had it for $15 elsewhere. Why? Because a real fan, who I knew through trading was selling it. That made a difference to me. Just like it does sending tapes to fans who have none. Of course I remember being a newbie when only two or three fans would help out in a sitch like that. I guess nothing has changed. So when you shop Wal MArt instead of the corner drug, Home Depot instead of your local True Value, or Media Play instead of the Music Outlet, don't bother responding to my posts because you are already incapable of understanding my sentiments. Saving a buck is not always the best way to ensure you'll get what you want down the line. So call me a fuck-nut, call me a whiner, call me your mother's butt-ugly stepchild, but just make sure you understand where I'm coming from before you blather an endless stream of bandwidth. Me? I'll take this private when people taking cheap shots at me do. Notice I haven't done that and named names (unless Bahr counts anymore) and pointed fingers. Why? Because I'm making an argument, not taking someone down a notch. Courtesy...

Disclaimer: This is just a parody. It is not intended as a moral or social commentary. Anyone wondering about my position on bootlegs needs to look no further than my CD and tape collections (which contain a few). I just get annoyed by the extremist postings from both sides of the argument. Hopefully the parody reflects my general opposition to bootlegging, my acknowledgement of the criminality of bootlegging, and my own hypocritical ownership of bootlegged material.

I think the topic has been sufficiently beaten to death enough to warrant a parody.

No first born son. Dont care. I be a ho. If anyone wants a shiny silver Subconscious and is willing to part with $100 for it, let me know. I love this CD and want to keep it, but hey $100 buys a lot of yuppie-beer ......... ;)

PS - And another thing. While I dont appreciate having to wait 6+ months for my SoC AT ALL, cut Matt Bahr a big fat break. He was so far under water, he couldn't see daylight. He realized this. He promised to change things starting with clearing his backlog and appears to be doing same (although I would have loved to see him cut the backlog of SoC which went to his true DT fans first ....).

Oh, no, that's not a spelling error. You see, those same guys that spawned Chris Richards' Project Portnoy also worked on this project, code-named, "Neil Pert-Plus". Same idea - take a good drummer's DNA, make it perfect. However, due to their practice with Project Portnoy, Neil Pert-Plus was achieved in only one try, hence the lack of a numerical suffix. Rumors abound about a modified version, called "Neil Pert-Plus-Plus" but so far this is only speculation. Moo.
