Isn't Robert Fripp one of the G3 for the Europian tour. I got some info

Could you please let me know how you know the names of such
unreleased songs ("A Crack in the Mirror", "Puppies on Acid",
"Moonbubbles", "Barfbag")? I really have no clue as to why the song on

Well, I play an Ibanez SR305 5-string. It's a terrible bass, with very little high-end and way too much mids for my liking, not to mention the fact that the thing slips out of tune if you fart near it. I also play a Fender P-Bass Lyte (P-Body with P-J pickup configuration) and it just friggin' rocks nads. My next one will most likely be a Yamaha (or two, if I can get them cheap enough). I'd like a REALLY high end bass, but I don't want to have to turn my first-born over to some guitar store.

I run these, by the way, through a Peavey MegaBass head (which is alright, but not the greatest I've played - I got it due to financial constraints when my SWR died) to an Eden 2x10 and an Eden 1x15. And if you're curious - the Edens are the BEST bass cabs out there, bar none. If you haven't yet, you owe it to yourself to try them.

Wow. That really sucks. I think I sort of saw it coming that fateful day back in December when I finally found a website dedicated to them. There was constant talk of all the solo projects going on at the time, the guys were all in different countries...the guy who maintained the page didn't have perfect English either, so I tried to ascribe my feeling of uneasiness to the fact that I just wasn't getting something. Unfortunately, I have been proven wrong, and right. Am nostalgically listening to Flow right now.

I was going to recommend this one myself, but have been so far out of the know when it comes to what's playing, what's about to play, and what's left the theaters, that I kept my mouth shut, hoping to hide any ignorance. But I DEFINITELY agree with this recommendation. That was one killer movie. Saw it twice in the theaters...from someone who's periodically broke and who hunts dollar bills like they are your living soul and might go to hell, this is a strong statement! Just make sure it's still playing first...I am not the most reliable source for this information.

You're lucky, I remember when I lived in Charlotte, NC and got spoiled with the Best Buys there. They had almost any CD you could imagine, they even had the soundtrack from "Beyond the Mind's Eye" by Jan Hammer, if you can believe that. Even the latest releases were only $10.99. Hell, I even bought a VCR and stereo there for a great price. (Even bought a Playboy Stacey Sanches Playmate video, but that's another story :)

Now I'm back up in Richmond, VA and the best place I have to go is Circuit City and pay $13.99 for a new CD "ON SALE". This shit sucks. Be happy you even have a Best Buy to bitch about.

I was wondering if any other NYC jammers heard the putrid crap that was spewed forth from the DJ on WXRK last night (Mon) at about 12:15-12:30am?

The waste of space DJ was introducing "The Oaf" by BIG WRECK and commenting when he saw them in Plainview, Long Island. He said they were awesome but then proceeded to say whats wrong with all the people from Long Island and Jersey going to see DREAM THEATER!!! I was shocked just to hear DT mentioned on commercial radio but what came afterwards was even worse...... He then started mimmicking the starts and stops of prog music in a high pitched voice and said to just shut up and play the song already?! Then he topped it off by saying BIG WRECK blew them away!?!? wtf!!!

I'm not too thrilled with DT's last two studio albums but live they are a sight to see and just hearing this turd berate them and paint such a glowing picture of BIG CRAP just pissed the hell outta me!!! Enough to call information to get the number to WXRK but nobody picked up...fuckin' bastards!

anyway...aside from Howard Stern and the occasional OZZY or MEGADETH tune KROCK can rot in hell.....

Well, you have to realize that first off, DJs on K-Rock at 12 midnight on are not real DJs anyway. These are people who have no idea about anything to begin with. They're young punks who have no idea what they want to do with themselves, figure they should try out radio, and then go to K-Rock at ungodly hours in the morning.

Second of all, these are the same DJs that do nothing but play songs given to them by program managers...I'm sure half of them have no clue as to what good music is....half of them probably don't even realize that Van Halen is on their third singer, and that Hagar was the original vocals in that band....

Take everything with a grain of salt - it's not going to get any better - just don't take it out on Big Wreck - they're a band doing their thing like DT is...unfortunately, the record company sees it more fit to promote them better than DT.... as a result, the sheep (aka society) are inundated with BW, so they automatically love them........
