yeah it looks like hell has frozen over, yes the one and only
Enchant page on the web (I think) has actually been updated
for the first time since Febuary last year.
News of a new album titled 'Break' and a few other things have
    been updated.

That's odd. EMI doesn't even exist anymore, as they were sold to Seagrams and
split into parts, I believe. Queensryche has been on Virgin Records since EMI
folded. And I hope the next album will be "Angry" sounding, as the sites
    indicate.

To all the other Jammers who love Journey, I have some cool news.

A long-lost series of live taped shows was found and has been produced
by Kevin Shirley as a new album to be released March 24th.

For more information, go to the following site:

    http://www.journeycontinues.com/

This album should kick much ass.

    Later,

    Jeff E.

    Hi!

    Some NDTC from me:

At 6:30pm MET (that's 12:30pm EST) Janick Gers and Nicky McBrain of Iron
Maiden will join a live Internet chat on http://www.koelner.de/chat. Check
    it out, crash our server...

Ah, BTW: Jason McMaster was singer for Watchtower on their first album,
Energetic Disassembly, but then left to join Dangerous Toys. On Control And
Resistance they indeed had this Hades guy ;-)

    Hey hi!

I saw DT in Munich on Tuesday and here's a short review of the show. BTW someone mentioned drunk hungarians before; I heard some shouting at the front door, but I don't think they spoke hungarian. Anyway, who wrote that review? Did we meet? Since we were at the stage door for a long while too. Sorry if the setlist isn't that correct, but I can't remember clearly, coz this was my first DT gig ever and I was totally mad:)

This will settle the question of Watchtower's singer: Jason McMaster sang on the first Watchtoweralbum "Energetic Disassembly" in 1986. He left the band and joined Dangerous Toys after that. Alan Tecchio sang on "Control and Resistance" in 1989. He has a very similar voice, but it's not the same guy :) Rumours have said that Jason McMaster is back in the band, but Ron Jarzombek (Watchtower guitarist, now in Spastic Ink) has said that there indeed was talk about Jason McMaster coming to sing on the third still unreleased and unfinished album, but it ran out in the sand. McMaster has not rejoined the band.

Here's some EXCELLENT advice from the Masterlurker...Read the Jams, and take note (on a piece of paper or use notepad) of the band's names that you see being discussed. You'll trip on how many you'll get in a short time!! Then goto any of 100 webpages/musicshops and sample the music you can find...There Ya Go !! ;)

Man, this CD, "Friday Night in San Francisco" is simply INCREDIBLE. I have never seen anything like that in my whole life. Fast (and I mean FAST) music that is really melodic and involving, uplifting (the first song of the CD is my favorite) and 100% played with acoustic guitar (I had never seen people shred with acoustic guitar before this album).

I'm wondering if their CD called "Guitar Trio" is in the same style than this one. Is it live also??

In a message dated 98-03-12 23:56:05 EST, you write:

<< You mean you USE a pick for accoustics? Accoustics were born to make ALL of the fingers of BOTH of yours hands bleed until you can show off some neat calluses. If you don't finger pick from the start, it's a rough deal learning it, but it's SO worth it! Accoustics with a pick makes it sooo harsh compared to the more mystical elements that come with running your fingers over the strings. -=AlisOn=- >>

where do you get your info?? finger picking with steel strings isn't very fun, thats why there are nylon string guitars for finger picking. by the was acoustic guitars were "born" before the electric guitar, and so were picks, so i wonder what picks were used for so long before the electric guitar was invented.

It was December 12th, 1996. This is the only one of the shows from the Fix for '96 that was released on CD.

Since the show from Toad's Place has an incredible vocal performance of Portnoy :-) during the first few seconds of "The Killing Hand", I'm thinking of transferring it to CD also...

Of course, if my compiler allows me. :-)

    Hello All,

Does anyone know of a source (online or otherwise) from which one could buy the bass lines for DT stuff. I have been in tons of music stores etc. and all I can find is the guitar books.

If anyone knows of a place where I can pick up DT bass scores please let me know...

    Thank You,

    -Paul

ps: Could Eric Desobe contact me about our boot trade... I lost your email address, and I am having some technical problems...

I'm temporarily un-subbed from the jam at the moment due to workloads, however could any kindly and knowledgable jammers e-mail me with answers to the following points:

    * Were any demos of Awake album sessions/songs recorded and if so what has happened to them. I've never seen any mention of them and the only pre-FII demo I've got is the Take the Time one.

    ALSO

    * Does anybody know anything about the FII cover shoot or alternative covers turned down by the band. I;ve flicked through the wonderful Pink Floyd artwork book showing Storm Thorgensen's thinking behind the Division Bell shoots. The only disconcerting point about the FII cover is the short-haired guy on the right who looks a bit too much like Robbie Williams !!!!!! (UK jammers will know him as an ex-member of boy band Take That)

    cheers

    PS

    crappy lyric joke...........

Q "What did the shop owner say after his store had been vandalised for the tenth time ????????? "

A Look in the lyrics to Space Dye Vest...............

    ................ "..and I'll never be open again ! "

well i said it was crap !!!!!
