Ok..... it IS an Ibanez..... (shit)..... but won't a humbucker (even if it IS a fast track?) fit nicely in the neck position? my neck pickup is a single coil.... that's why I had to use the fast track.....

Hi there, yesterday I saw DT for the 4th times on their current tour here in Europe. You know it yourself, just when you think it cannot get any better, this band shows you just an even better concert. I prefered the concert in Hannover, Germany a bit more, 'cause I think the audience was a bit more excited than in Munster. But that's just my thought.

Standing in the first row I almost got attacked by Mike's spitting. Sometimes he spits a bit to often IMO. Actually I was very happy, 'cause on this tour I was lucky enough to hear TOT TWICE (actually not in one and the same concert though ;-)) and Scarred. And they played Anna Lee, which has a rather nice guitar sound live.

All in all a very cool week including 3 concerts of DT. Ah, and BTW James announced a new album plus tour in 1999. Met. Pt II, I here you comin'...

Solong, and enjoy your forthcoming concerts.

I *doubt* there will be two different Japanese versions, although I could of course be wrong.

thanks to everyone for the reviews/recommendations for LTE. i've had it for a couple days now and i enjoy it more and more with each listen. it amazes me that these guys pulled this album off in one week. and now that i've finally heard Rudess my life is complete... well, sorta. hehe. i tell you what... Portnoy wasn't exaggerating in the liner notes when he called Rudess a complete virtuoso and the best to ever play the instrument (in so many words). the boy's got some insane chops.

    anyway, enough rambling for now.

My verdict on Shadow Gallery: a couple of the tracks really really rock. They're catchy, I can't get them out of my head. Especially "Cliffhanger." The rest of the album: I can't stand the vocals. Cheesy. El queso.

I want to get rid of CARVED IN STONE but no used store will pay more than $4 in trade because it's on Magna Carta. Drives me crazy.

Yes Arash you got the only and only pressing of this CD, no one else has it, boy are you lucky :)

Well you along with most European Stratovarius fans, there's seems to be three versions of this disc 'floating around'. 1. The version you and I have with the video 2. Regular version no bonus audio/video tracks 3. Jap/US (?) that has two demo's on the end.

But anyways, does anyone know if the new HELLOWEEN will be released in the US soon? What about that MALMSTEEN concerto thing?

The weirdest thing also happened, while flipping through the used section at a TEMPO (an average So Cal. music chain), I came across a Harem Scarem album. I was very fucking suprised. It was completely new in Japenese packaging for only $6.99!!!! I hadn't heard them before but I have heard good things about them from Japenese jammers. The album is called Believe and is very goods hard rock. I got an album that would have cost me around $35 for $7!!! Fools!

A radio station here in Brazil aired songs off a lot of new albums last Sunday:

    * Malmsteen's concerto; * new Helloween; * new Iron Maiden ("Futurreal" and other songs); * new Dio; * new Van Halen.

What really caught my attention was that Yngwie Malmsteen seem to enjoy playing his guitar too much. He seems to love that thing so much that the entire orchestra (from Praga, if I remember correctly) is there just for the sake of having the name on the disc, because he is everywhere.

Oh, and the track that I listened was an interesting rearrangement of the theme of his Rising Force's "Icarus Suite". I'm not sure if I'll buy the disc, for three reasons:

    * I'm short on cash and will save for Liquid Tension Experiment; * the only copy I found was 50 bucks (can you say extorsive?); * I think that he should suffer a little less of show-off.

I started disliking Yngwie after he destroyed the delicate atmosphere of Kansas's masterpiece "Carry On Wayward Son" on his "Inspiration" album. He should know *when* is the time to play and when is the time to stop playing that damn instrument. He seems to suffer of inferiority complex, because he is always trying to prove that he can play.

Regarding the new Helloween album, well, what can I say? It's similar to their previous efforts, nothing much different. If you liked "Master of the Rings" or "Time of the Oath", get it.

This message brought to you by a clueless listener, Roger...

My Visions CD also has this bonus video. I don't think it's a special edition, but one of the two or more editions this CD has. I think there's one edition that features some live tracls ("Uncertainty" one of them, or the only one, I don't know).
