Yes, as a matter of fact, I do! Everybody should leave AOL!!! I wish I

before you get trapped, LEAVE AOL!!!

In my opinion: they are INCREDIBLE! Others say they're too cheesy. To each
their own, ya know? Anyway, you can judge for yourself at their official web
    page:

I think (although I'm not sure) that there are some sound files to download

Well, got a few comments about those subjects.

    1. LTE: Wow, I can't beleive this, I was in Circuit City today to buy
a new alarm clock (can't believe it, managed to get water in my old
one) so was looking at CDs, decided, for the hell of it, to look
whether they had LTE, and could not find it under LTE (always look
for some of the standards, DT, Fates, whenever I'm at a CD shop to
get a feel for their collection, ance since I already have LTE,
didn't need ot buy it) and didn't see it, so I look at their DT
selection, and what else do I see, but 3 (count them, 3) copies of
LTE in the DT section, for only $12.99 (far better than the $17.99
I paid at Tower), so there you have it, Circuit City has LTE.

    2. Milan '9? CD boot: The Milan '9? CD that someone asked about is a
clone of Lost In The Sky, in fact, all of the CDs that I have seen
printed by Live Storm Records are boots of other boots. (Have a
Queensryche Unplugged CD from them, which is a copy of the "real"
       QR unplugged CD)

    3. Japanese HY CD single: Well, not sure whether the Japanese HY CD
single with the 3/17/98 release date is the same as the one that
Syrinx posted about, which was the German one + 2 tracks from Birch
       Hell.

(wow, just noticed the formating of my post there... long live Emacs!
    :)

According to some sources, JM feels very bad if he doesn't play his bass at least 10 hours a day. That's what I call discipline.

    Hi Jammer-type people...

I had a very good day at the record show in Wayne, New Jersey today, despite the fact that my friend and favorite dealer in prog CDs, Bob Wolf of Sights and Sounds, wasn't even there. I started out with two concert video boots: Marillion, taped Sept. 9, 1997, in New Haven, Connecticut (Finally! All 16 minutes of 'This Strange Engine,' live! YAY!!!), and Fish, taped October 24, 1995, in Krakow, Poland. I didn't actually have any solo Fish video in my collection prior to this purchase, but this video was way too good to pass up: pro shot, lots of Marillion songs in the set, etc.

Then I made my way to what I believe was Jart Music's table, where I turned my disappointment at Bob Wolf's absence into a triumph of progressive purchasing: four, that's right, four CDs, two of which were pricey imports, but well worth the bucks. First I snatched up a copy of "Legendary Tales," by the Italian prog-metal band Rhapsody, about whom I've heard a number of good things, for only $15; then I found Shrapnel six-string wunderkind George Bellas' new disc, "Mind Over Matter," again, only $15; then I added Arena's live album, "Welcome to the Stage," featuring Pendragon/Shadowland keyboard wizard Clive Nolan, IQ bassist John Jowitt and ex-Marillion drummer Mick Pointer, for $25; and finally, the crown jewel, Yngwie Malmsteen's brand new "Concerto for Electric Guitar and Orchestra," a $35 Japanese import. YOW!

And the last purchase of the day, at another table laden with bootleg goodies, a $25 CD of Black Sabbath with Rob Halford on vocals, recorded at Ozzy Osbourne's semi-legendary 'farewell concert' several years ago. It was either that or a CD recording of a 1976 Yes tour rehearsal featuring not only a short version of "Heart of the Sunrise" with Chris Squire on lead vocals, but a full performance of "The Remembering (High the Memory)"--aka Part Three of 'Tales from Topographic Oceans.' Ooh--decisions, decisions! I waffled for several minutes, but ultimately I had to hear what Rob Halford singing "Children of the Sea" (among other songs) sounded like.

The only better conclusion to the show would have been to find a "Falling Into Infinity" concert disc. *sigh*

    It was a good day.

Probably because a Fast Track is basically a middle position pickup or a Fender humbucker. It's still a humbucker made to fit in a single coil position. They suck, too. heheh. If it's an Ibanez, I'd say you're most likely screwed. Get an Air Norton or PAF Pro for the neck if do you have a standard neck humbucker. The tones up there are rather mellow and sweet for melodic soloing. DiMarzzio has a 30 day return policy. You can send them back for whatever reason and get it replaced with a different one. (At least this is what the guy I bought mine from told me.) So It's pretty much OK to experiment, maybe. :)

As far as compatablity, I can't see why you can't mix and match whatever pickups you want wherever. I've got a PAF Pro in the neck, a Fast Track I in the mid, and an Evolution in the bridge, and they all work fine. The Fast Track is mostly decorative now. I think it sucks.

Hell, it beats talking about picks. heheh. --KorgX3

WOW........is all that comes to mind after listening to LTE several times! I can't believe the masterpieces-of-prog-in-your-face-whether-you-like-it-or-not on this CD are products of only 1 week of thought, but what do I know? I'm just a 'damn guitarist'. :) After listening to LTE with headphones, I understood why they let Shirley mix. There are just so many subtleties on this CD that you can only hear <well> with headphones, it's like a whole different perspective! (duh, I know, but try it if ya haven't :) This gem is definately gonna tied me over for......a damn long time!

For those guitarists who are trying to fight the habit of economy picking: play the riffs or scale runs that you like to warm-up with the same way basicly, EXCEPT, pick the first note as an upstroke (or down depending on whichever is the opposite of the way you're comfortable with) and continue with the down/up pattern. Do it until it sounds as good as the way you originally played. Also it helps if you switch rhythms....in other words play a scale in 16ths then try it in sextuplets while keeping the same tempo. This really helps for me anyway. (sorry to those who have heard this before......just pretend you didn't read it :)

    I have question :

My brother owns Stratovarious-Visions with a multi media bonus track. The CD contains the complete "Kiss Of Judas" video as AVI file !!!

Is your version of the CD the same or is ours a special edition ?

Another thing for all IRON MAIDEN fans :

The new maxi CD " The Angel And The Gambler " contains a multi media bonus track. It's a live video of "Man On The Edge". I think it's a special edition.
