OK i had.. the guitar trio before the other one... . The guitar trio is a lot
less shred.. .. but i find it to be more dynamic and mature.. its still
awesome..but theres not that much fast playing in it... but i gotta second the
thought that Friday Night is an acoustic shredfest..but still in a melodic
    way!
oh btw.. the guitar trio is not live..
at least i dont think it is

    Two very quick questions:

1.) Has anyone been able to find the Roadrunner release of LTE on import? 2.) Has anyone gotten a hold of that French promo fan club CD with all the live tracks on it, or has that not come out yet?

    Just curious.

I was in a local used CD store yesterday and was surprised to find Majestic Harmonies and Milan 93 in their imports section. MH had a live performance at the beginning and some studio recordings at the end. I assume these are some of the Majesty demos. The Milan album is a two disc set recorded at a show in Milan. I was wondering if anyone out there has any info on these albums and if they're worth the $32 and $40 respectively that they want for them. Any info and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just a quick note to announce the domestic release of "Forgotten World" from the Swedish Prog-metal band Sanity. If you like DT (duh!) and Lion's Share, mixed with a touch of Malmsteem and Whitesnake and that famous Euro-prog style, then you'll love these guys.

Also, we still have the limited release of Clockwork's "Search" which will surely become a collector's item when their new soon-to-be released CD hits the streets. Most of you already have this, or know about them, but there's still a few of you out there...

Anyway... check out some audio clips at our site. Thanks for the time!

Someone mentioned they thought the phrase "how in the hell could you possibly forgive me, after all the hell I've put you through" was ackward, 'cuz of the two 'hells'.

I emphatically disagree. I think it was done on purpose, and has a certain irony about it. It's hell on top of hell. hell squared. I really like it.

"After all the pain.." isn't bad either, I do like the alliteration. But i'm used to hell.

Normally there would be a sig here, but I decided it takes up way too much space. I mean, really. that's two lines that could be saving bandwidth and ending world famine. So I thought that in the interests of shutting up sally struthers, I would skip the 2-line sig just this once. I hope my contribution is noted. Because if it's not noted, I will just keep on rambling, and then no one's happy. Well, me. But almost no one.

Ok guys, I'm not trying to turn this into a Queensr=FFche list (which by the way is in web format at http://www.scream.org ).

    >That's odd. I just recieved word that they had broken up and disbanded. >Appearently, they got dropped from EMI because their last album didn't >even go gold.

hahahah I wonder where those rumours come from. Go to the official Queensr=FFche site, dude - http://www.queensryche.com , if you want to know what officially is going on. Yesterday was the first day of rehearsal before they start recording, I guess the songs are mostly written by now and they want to release a CD by this summer.

The band did NOT disband or break up. They did NOT get dropped by EMI. What happened is that EMI closed their US Operations and that is the reason why Queensr=FFche is label-less. Without a record company pushing the record, it sold "just" a few hundred thousand= copies.

Word is that the band is considering going indie even though they do have the possibility of being in a label. It's no secret that going indie gives a band much more money (at least 7 dollars per CD opposed to about 1.50) and they're already known and have a big fan base, plus they'd have creative freedom (which something tells me they did not have the last time around... I could be wrong).

    Hey all.

I thought I'd share some of my experience with a couple of online CD stores:

www.impulsemusic.com They had some goofy shipping snafus that forced me to wait three weeks after they promised 3 business days. I was mad, but I'd be willing to give them another chance. Good selection; I got Superior's "Behind" here. BTW, their damn phone is always busy.

www.musicblvd.com Good selection here too. I ordered three CD's at once here, and they told me that two were in one place, and last one was from another. They shipped them separately, no charge! I got the first package in 3 days and the last one in 5 days. Nice.

www.knightsoftheround.com Fantastic selection. I placed an order (they had Eternity-X on special) before I realized shipping was 2-6 WEEKS. D'oh! That was a week ago, so we'll see.

Oh man, I'm spending way too much money...

About the pick, thanks Chris Ptacek, I could not have said it any better. It comes down to different sounds and what you want to accomplish with a song for example a certain mood. This can be done either pick style or finger style.

Isn't very fun? Have you actually tried it? I'd say fingerpicking on steel string, when you don't have that pussy-handed "Ouch! These strings hurt me girly-man fingers" tone is one of the most fun and best sounding things you can do on acoustic. Fingerpicking steel string sounds way better to me than fingerpicking nylon (except for flamenco)

Okay, don't do this. Don't change what I write. The word "appearance" did not appear in my original post. State the audial counterparts for the terms "appear," "envision," and "mind's eye." If they don't exist, piece them together. I propeal words all the time, just remember that root words have to exist before prefixes and suffixes.

I have 'Majestic Harmonies', it's one of the best sounding boots I have heard from any band and not just DT. I think it is soundboard. Shame it's not a complete show. The demo's at the end of the CD are with vocalist Chris Collins, I am not sure if theses demo's are on any other boot. I'd highly recommend this boot :)
