I have a hard time believing THAT. 4/4 is as natural as falling off a
log, as natural as vomiting purple chunks after killing a full bottle of
grape mad dog 20/20, as natural as mistaking JLB for someone speaking in
tongues after hearing OiaLT....

I gotta agree with you there, D. I heard Danzig's "Mother" on the radio
the other day and commented to my friend about how for a while, I
couldn't enjoy music like this beause it was "too simple". I was missing
out on some kick ass simplistic music. Look at Pink Floyd: that's what I
call getting the maximum music from a minimum of notes. I think Mike
Campbell from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers falls into that category
also. Grade A musicians, even if they don't normally "shred". Tom Petty
just wouldn't kick as much ass if Petrucci was tearing apart sixteenth
note septuplets at 216 bpm over his nasal Southern drone. Of course, I
think JP has enough class to tone it down, should he ever be in that
situation.

A day without flames is like a day without annoying assholes demanding
that their worthless opinions be revered.

You can buy "Biomech" at CDNow (as an import ~$30). Look under "Devin
Townsend" instead of Ocean Machine. I still haven't found an easy way to get
ahold of "Infinity" YET... According to his website
(http://members.home.net/hevydevy/) it is only available in Japan right now
but you can pre-order it via snail mail from the home office.
