Sorry, but Doug Pinnicks appearance on the FII CD was one of *THE* standout moments. Interesting contrast with LaBrie... Doug ahs always had a very emotional and profound voice. This song only re-enforces how well he sounds in a prog-metal context.

someone <briefly> mentioned "Out of Sight." I must implore everyone to see this movie, as it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I was into it from beginning to end. <And not just because of Jennifer Lopez's ass, although that sure didn't hurt...>

Well, I have posted a little bit about this to the Chroma Key discussion board, but figured I would send what info I know about this to everyone here... It appears that the spoken dialogue in Hell Mary is taken from a "vision" that a lady by the name of Veronica Lueken (http://www.tldm.org/Veronica/veronica.htm) had concerning her visits by the Virgin Mary (hence the title of the song). What she is discribing is the Doomsday Asteroid or as they call it "The Ball of Redemption", the end of the world. More info about this and other phrophecies of Veronica's can be found at these web sites: Article on the comet-- http://www.tldm.org/News/domcomet.htm

The main page of another site-- http://www.roses.org/index.html "Our Mission Statement: To spread the Urgent Messages given by the Blessed Virgin Mary and Our Lord Jesus Christ thru the late seer Veronica Lueken at Our Lady's apparition site in Bayside, Queens, New York, USA."

And another article on the comet-- http://www.roses.org/messages/domcomet.htm

Kevin Moore probably just ran the text of part of this prophecy through a speech synth to get that eerie computer voice...

There are some other interesting articles on there, like how she descibes UFOs being from Hell...

Well, I hope this all proves for some interesting reading <g>... -- ~Michael Kizer <mkizer@goodnet.com> <ICQ # 2070538> "Enter ivory gates through midnight skies..." - http://www.ivorygate.com >>> Fates Warning ~ Island In The Stream <<< >>> Dream Theater and Kevin Moore "Unofficial" Song Books <<<

Hey jammers, just thought I'd post a quickie review of Vitalij Kuprij's latest release Extreme Measures. Haven't seen it on the jam yet... well I got this disc yesterday and all I can say is This is THE shred album of the year. If you like blistering guitar/keyboard runs in the neo baroque style then this is a must buy. It features George Bellas on guitar who rips arpeggios faster than most people speed pick. 8^) Great drum and bass work , and of course Vitalij does some excellent classical piano pieces mixed in between the speedy passages. If you liked his first album you'll love this one, It's on shrapnel records....... have fun! Randy Shewey

Hello ! If this is the Guild of Ages i`ve heard of, they are not in the Dream Theater vein. They play straight melodic heavy. They are signed on MTM. This band used to be called CITA (Caught in the act, not the disco band) and has two releases under that name. They have connections to Bobby Barth of 80`s band Axe. If you like melodic heavy they are one of the best around, but they are nothing like Dream Theater. Just a salestrick.

Hey guys, I don't usually reply to the list, but I would like to start now that I have a litte more free time. I am a HUGE DT fan!! I just got the Charlie Dominici Video that he was selling and it is pretty funny. The whole video seems to be filmed in one of their basements in 1987. They play AFiL which is cool, exept the solo is different, just mainly a bunch of Harmonic Screams, and TOWHtStS, which is really cool. The rest is DT just fooling around and Jamming. Charlie looks alot younger than on WDADU pics, and sings not bad, but not as good as the CD (I don't mind his voice at all). John Myung is a little odd. While the rest of the band fools around and is having fun between songs, JM just sits on the grounds and practices burning through scales and arpeggios with his amp off. They even ask him to pose with the whole band in front of the camera, and JM just ignores them and continues practicing. I guess thats why he is that good. The sound is better than I thought is would be and the tape is definately worth the money.

    So what's the problem ?

"Break" is not 30 % as good as the other Enchant albums (IMO). They style is very different (still progressive) and I don't like it. 3 songs are really good and "My Enemy" is incredible but the rest ...

It's my opinion and it has nothing to do with Empty Tremor.

Sorry but, you must be sick or something. Everytime I write something some of you don't like, you start to flame and talking how bad Empty Tremor are. Come on, have you nothing better to do ?

Buy the album and judge for your self.
