It was a stunt the did on each show.
The DVD version of the show has interviews with all the stunt guys, and
other people. They started rehearsing all of that about a year before the
tour started. The most most amzing thing about the load tour is taht the
beand made NO money off of it, it all went to production costs. Who says
Metallica sold out???????

Hi, there!
I must say, that the only really good metal vid was M*******a's One...and
even that has quite a few cheeze-elements in it :) Now, I have both LiT and
5YIAL, and whenever I sit down to watch either (or both) I always
fast-forward when the music-video's are on...It's just too much cheeze for
me :)
I'd like to recommend the vid to Raidohead's "Just" .... I just love that
intriguing story (really!)
Take care now, bye-bye then

This one's short:
Dream Theater's "Take the Time" has definitely been released on video,
it's on the "Live in Tokyo" VHS video. (Itchy didn't mention that in his
post at all; LiT may not have been released in PAL format, and if not,
he probably wouldn't have a copy, right?) It's not bad.
In general, Dream Theater videos aren't particularly cheesy. For true
"cheesy" videos, take a look at the Rush Chronicles video. From the
cheesy 1970s "Closer to the Heart," to the cheesy 1981 "Tom Sawyer" and
"Red Barchetta," to the horrible "Distant Early Warning" and "The Big
Money," it's pretty bad. The climax of cheese comes next, with "Time
Stand Still," starring Aimee Mann. That's the cheesiest video I've EVER
seen. No question; it's probably the cheesiest video ever made! (And
when you think about the budget they used for those "special effects"...
OUCH!)

looky, looky what have we got here! Vanessa Mae fan... and i was scared
shitless to say that i attended her concert! :-))). Hey, mr. Korg where
you`re from? i noticed a while back you even had Loreena McKennitt in your
"now playing" section. You gotta be from somewhere in Europe, right? cause
as far as i know, Vanessa hasn`t conquered USA yet? or am i wrong?
The best thing is that our national TV taped the show i was at, and they`ve
showed it on TV... hell, i can almost see myself sitting in the fourth row
or something like that... a very nice experience if i may add. The concert
was in support of her "Storm" album... great concert!

I was sitting in my room today, listening to some VG music, and it
suddenly hit me that there is an unbelievably large amount of prog in
today's video game market. Most specifically, if any of you haven't
played the PlayStation game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, I suggest
you do. The music in that game is incredible, and very proggish - kinda
like Symphony X stuff. It's very gothic, uses lots of organ and keyboard
and stuff. Well, maybe not "prog-metal" like DT would be termed... I
guess it could more be called neo-classical. But it's still good. :)
For those of you that download MP3s, there's a page that has all the
Castlevania albums not available in the US available for download. Go to
the following site: http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/mp3/cd.htm -
I suggest that you listen to the arranged stuff like "Dracula Battle
Perfect Selection". The second track on that album sounds SCARILY like
SX... Enough that when I listened to it, I thought that it was something
that SX had done and went and listened to my SX stuff to try and figure
out which song it sounded like (it didn't - I just thought it did). But
the live stuff is great to have
It's got all the Japanese soundtrack albums - note that they're just there
because we can't get theme here, for those of you that would object.

Message-ID: <19e6aa51.24db7bae@aol.com>
Okay, OFB's rise to fame after dropping out of Berklee has been
well-documented.
Thanx to Korgy, it has been disclosed that Trey Parker of "South Park" fame
once attended Berklee, and he too dropped out. (BTW, Parker's song writing
on the South Park soundtrack was AMAZING!)
And now this... it's come to my attention after watching VH1's "Behind the
Music" this past weekend that Melissa Etheridge also went to Berklee for a
year before dropping out and eventually achieving the world-wide success that
she has!
So..... how does that phrase go? "Once is an accident, twice is a
coincidence, three times is a trend"? Something like that, anyway.....
Maybe dropping out of Berklee really IS a fucking guarantee!!! :-)
That is all.

(yes, yes I know this is probably MIME type but if I didn't get this into

On the topic of Berklee, I think I might have a guess as to the motivational
factors behind so many people dropping out. Getting in is not the only hard
part, but getting housing is the next problem. My entry is being delayed by
a semester because I can't afford rent for an apartment on top of tuition.
They have so little housing that for this upcoming year, I ended up as one of
150 freshman without on campus housing. <sigh> Then there's gonna be the
course work. I'll let you guys know if I'm still alive in Feb.

Ugh, me too. Surprisingly, I guess, DT was the first prog I ever listened to. In fact, I didn't even know such a genre existed before them.

after months of anticipation, the MAIDEN show was finally coming to California. But it was not to be. An hour before I was going to leave to see the greatest show ever, it was postponed and then canceled. FUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.
This is the second time in two years I have been canceled upon by Maiden. This time, i think Dave Murray broke his finger when he fell the night before in LA. Last year, I drove and hour and a half from Santa Barbara to find out that the show was cancelled dut to Blaze being sick. Four years ago, I barely got to see them because Blaze was sick but made it back for my show in Hollywood. The poor bastards in the bay area have now been cancelled on for the last THREE maidenn tours.

Actually, a friend of mine played an MPEG video of some music video a friend of his had made, using clips from the anime series Evangelion. The music? "The Final Countdown." It was actually very good, and it made me realize just how much I liked some of the music from the 80's.

Yah, because there's a guy in Boston who wears steel-toed boots, listens to Scissorfight all the time, and despises Berklee "hippies" about as much as anything. :) Not that I think he'd really harm you, but be aware that he hates you and is to be avoided. heheheh.
