I like his solowork better than Europe.. at least some of his albums are
good. The one I think sold the most copies is Face the Truth. Nice Hard
rock album, no prog in there but I like it. But I think Another
Destination is even better. Jazzier and I like that more.. anyway, he's
a really good guitarist. He has made two more studio albums and one
livealbum but the two mentioned above is the ones I like the best.

Actually they/their label almost always LOSE money, because they have
    to PAY for the gig.

    >Very true!! In fact, when I play a DT song such as Metropolis for a friend
    >who is curious, the most frequent comment is "this sounds like a video game"

One of DT's musical trademarks always were their classical influences
(I guess the lack of it on FII is one reason why many of you didn't
like this album), and that's what reminds you of video games.

For some reason game music is and has always been very classical.
Some veteran nerds around here who still remember Rob Hubbard, one of
the superstars of game music in the 80s? Just like Deep Purple he
mixed hardrock and classical music, making some *terrific* (and
sometimes pretty "progressive") tunes. You really have to get used to
    the beepy sound, though.

note- 'Theatre' is actually the correct way to spell the word, just whoever was writing the first American dictionaries thought it would be a good idea to fuck up some of the words like 'colour' and stuff.

i think u are mistaken there, but i wont argue any further. But could anyone actually name a band that unmistakabley sold out? I can't think of many. When I think of selling out, I think the band A) stops making the sort of songs that they would like to make, purely because of money B) and the change is for the worse and they had enough money in the first place anyway.

yer i borrowed this video a while ago. Its called 'Cunning Stunts' (as in, whats the difference between a jester and a riot policeman/blonde to cartwheels). I couldnt work out what was going on exactly but i think the whole thing was a set up.

It is just a joke... Derek also uses the name "Nick Lemons" for the GlamNation funband he has been playing in recently. You can read more about this funband on Eric Singer's site. Here's the direct URL for the news page...

I couldn't agree more. Don't believe anything you've heard about this movie - good or bad. Just see it with an open mind.

This is an important movie. Support quality, support originality. Go see it!

Apologies for the NDTC but I am just so damn curious what you think of my band! We're called Seanox and play something that is more death than prog metal. I have posted some MP3's on the website of the band which is located at http://www.JEM7BSB.com/seanox.htm

Please check the music out and let me know what you think, either by signing the guestbook of the JEM7BSB site or by sending me a private mail

I Agree, and the solo on "The Final Countdown." still makes me chill, and feel a rush of emotions... (-"Those were the times....")
