Yes. It was intentional. Sort of signifying Hamlet's death, yadda yadda...

I'm really surprised they've not shown up yet on Itchy's site or someone

Is Yahoo/Sandbox going to run a fantasy football league like they did last
year? And if so are we going to have a Yahoo Ytseleague for those of us who
don't want to pay 30$ and are willing to take the downgrade in gameplay to
have it for free? Just curious, it was a lot of fun last year and would
    like to do it again.

I just read this and thought it was interesting, I dont know how many of
    you know this:

"SIERRA STUDIOS AND PROGRESSIVE ROCK LEGEND YES COLLABORATE IN MAJOR
    ENTERPRISE
Homeworld Embarks on Largest Rock/Game Promotion of 1999=20

Bellevue, WA (June 4, 1999) - Sierra Studios, Relic Entertainment, Beyond
and the legendary musical group Yes are proud to announce the formation of
an incredible new synergistic relationship that has spawned an inspiring
new song from the band, based on Relic's upcoming PC real-time strategy
    game Homeworld.=20

While recording their forthcoming studio album (their 18th), The Ladder,
with producer Bruce Fairbairn in Vancouver, B.C. the members of Yes met
with Relic Entertainment, also based in Vancouver, B.C. Inspired by the
back story from the game Homeworld, the band will debut their first single
entitled "Homeworld" on their upcoming late summer 1999 tour and on the new
album due this fall. Sierra Studios will feature the song on the soundtrack
of their game, due for release this summer.=20

Yes formed in 1967 with Jon Anderson, Alan White, Chris Squire and Steve
Howe. To date the group has sold over 28 million albums worldwide. Their
releases have included such classics as "Close To The Edge" and "Fragile"
and over their 30 year history the group has pioneered sound technologies
including surround sound live performances. Current information on Yes can
    be found at www.yesworld.com.=20

Homeworld is an evolutionary step in gameplay and technology. It
simultaneously delivers cinematic-quality graphics, stunning special
effects, beautifully rendered space ships and an innovative interface.
Combining elements of space combat, strategic play and action, Homeworld
promises to deliver elements of popular genres in a totally fresh=
     experience.=20

Homeworld's epic tale begins in the far reaches of the universe. As benign
lords of a peaceful society located in the center of a lush spiral galaxy,
no one challenged a peaceful existence. Insidious outsiders wiped out
billions of people from the mainland and relocated the survivors to a cold,
lifeless planet on the edge of the galaxy. Hundreds of years later, all
knowledge of previous existence has been lost. Only vague myths remain, and
a single mysterious artifact: a crystal. From the crystal a faint signal is
extracted and deciphered into an astronomical heading. An immense
mothership is built which will carry millions of people along this unknown
path, towards what may be the homeworld.=20

"Homeworld is the perfect game to warrant this huge promotion with Yes
because of the broad appeal of the game," said Jim Veevaert, director of
marketing for Sierra Studios. "We found perfect partners with Beyond and
the members of Yes and all agreed to embark on this relationship of
historic proportions since it's never been done this way before."=20

"I phoned Alex [CEO of Relic Entertainment] after learning that we could
work one of our pieces of music into his games," commented Jon Anderson of
Yes, "I just loved the way that he had formed the game visually and the
story line was very similar to our lyrics, in that we're all trying to find
    our way home."=20

Beyond is a division of the Left Bank Organization, an operating company
designed to market, promote, publicize and distribute entertainment
    properties on a worldwide basis.=20

Sierra On-Line, Inc. is one of the original developers and largest
worldwide publishers of interactive entertainment and productivity
software. Sierra is comprised of a family of brands: Sierra Attractions=99,
    SierraHome=99, Sierra Sports=99, Sierra Studios=99, and Dynamix=99, a Sierra
Company. Sierra is a division of Havas Interactive, whose holdings also
    include Knowledge Adventure=99, Blizzard Entertainment=AE and WON.net=99.=20

I will be going, and would be interested in meeting up with a few jammers if possible at some point during the week. I'm especially interested in knowing whether any southeast PA 'jammers will be there; it would be nice to have some company for the ride up.

Last jam someone asked what the name of the Extreme song the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Beethoven in the music store thing was. It's the song "Play with Me." Also, the same person asked what King's X song/ballad it was that everyone sang on. I would guess it was "Goldilox." Great song, BTW.

well, so much for my unfounded fears on the rap thing....

as for mullmuzzler, a couple of weeks and it still sounds like the same thing: James Labrie singing tunes by Shadow Gallery, Dali's Dilemma and Magellan....but i like those bands, so it's a good thing.... the SG penned material is dancing on the edge of cheesiness, so those of you who don't like SG for that tendency take note....

but it's godd stuff, really, and I'll probably be listening to this more so than LTE as time goes on....

Everyone on this list should check out Tony MacAlpine. What an amazing guitarist. He is extreamly fast and extreamly smooth. FLAWLESS!!! He plays guitar and piano and violin and he ripps it up on every one. If you think Petrucci has speed this guy will make you question that. He writes in a more classical frame of mind and his song writing skills are just amazing. If anyone has heard of him post some messages about him. What amazed me the most was that he is a black guitarist. And I don't see too many balck guitarist who can do what he can do. Check him out. Sorry I don't have any URLs for his sites, but this might work...

It didn't wok for me but it may work for you. I just got his CD "Edge of Insanity" and it had a kick ass live solo. And I think him and Petrucci doing something together would be an amazing collaboration.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about him... Did you know Tony joined Planet X not too long ago? They're already working on a new album.

He plays violin huh? If he is anywhere near as good as Eddie Jobson I think they should get John Wetton on bass and vocals, and rename the band to U.K. II. I'd be a really happy camper if that happened. ;-)
