    hi all,

since I brought it up again I volunteer to forward. Mail a private request
to schnipp@bigfoot.com and I'll forward. If I get more than 20 requests I am
sure it's ok to post it again to the jam.
Actually I just read it again and , maybe it should go in the FAQ.
    later,

    hey all,
I am not one to start rumors, just pass info. Apparantly the info i passed
MAY be fabricated. no one has yet to officially confirm it. John from
Xanadu said he got the info off an Atlantic "members only" sight, but then
later took that back saying he got it from a friend that works in
promotians at Atlantic. The info looked a hell of a lot like a Press
release, with quotes from SRock and Geoff. John is a good guy, I believe
him, so we will all have to wait and see.

For that guy asking about SOD tour dates, the dates aren't officially
confirmed yet. I saw Pissing Razors and Skinlab the other night, and the
singer from Skinlab said we will see you on Oct.31st with Crowbar and SOD.
I talked to the guy after and he said they are waiting for venue
    confirmations.

Sorry if I started a stir up about Queensryche thats not what I intended
    to do.

    anyway....

regarding Yes and Bruce Fairbarn, there was a story at www.wallofsound.com
yesterday about Yes, the Ladder, and the deceased producer....apparently,
Jon Anderson was the guy who found the body....The Ladder is due out in
    september sometime......

Keeping with the depressing them, I have to admit something....I called
N'sync "hot" and called 98 degrees "one of the most talented groups,
    ever!"....

no, i wasn't trying to pick up some 15 year old girl....

but i do have an excuse....trying to sell crap on ebay, and i had to hype
the merchandise, y'know? yours to decide whether the excuse excuses the
shameful commentary on the teenybopper type.....

I was wondering if anyone saw the John Myung series (TRB-II-6 or something
like that with the infinity design on the fretboard) Yamaha 6-stringer in
the latest issue of Musician's Friend. $999.00 Now, to me that sounds like
a damn good price. It also comes with a JM autographed copy of FII, to
boot. I might have to order me one... :) I wish, anyway. :)

Okay, but you know the artist cannot make more album unless you kinda support him. And hiw do you support him? You buy his music. Because if you dont support him, he is gonna give up playing and composing.

Or, if you buy CDs just because they are convenient, then make someone else to buy the CD and ask him to burn a copy for you. This is much cheaper and far more convenient.:))))

Korgy:))))) Dammit, this is not what I was talking about.:) Everyone who played the violin for some time knows, that you can reach the higher notes easily! Just look at a violin. It is kinda more thin than an electric guitar, let alone an accoustic.:)

So when I saw this jap chick (;)) playing that cutout violin, although she could easily do without those cut outs, I said that she just eases her job. Which is in my opinion not really 'polite' towards the Music.

    Kinda see my point?

I did say that she is a sell-out, but I was just joking then.;)

Okay, that is true. But I - as an ex-violin player - cannot appreciate her music, because her music is not *only* good because she is talented, but she reached the quality by easeing her job!

Well, I'm still not familiar with Dregs stuff, never heard it, but all the fuss here makes me wonder! :) I know the band Jerry Goodman played in, called THE FLOCK! Band from the hippie era, some very weird rock, ... ummm, might as well call it prog in a way. Definitely weird arrangements and line-up for that time.

Now, ... I think he isn't the Dregs dude, .. I think someone said his name on the jam and it wasn't Jerry, 'cause I know Jerry. This is the same Jerry Goodman who shreds with McLaughlin in Mahavishnu and actually he is original member of the band.

Umm, might be true, but once I listened his newest live album and it sucked!!! :( I guess it isn't his time anymore, ... same like Rolling Stones! :) I mean, I have this 1979 Live Ponty album and it's a blast!!! This is a must have! Especially the violin solo is awesome, ... and that crazy bass solo on the 2-nd song - WOOOOOOOOOW, never heard a sound like that on bass! :) Jaco, tell 'em! ;)

This new live CD was very borying, and has none of his old legendary stuff ... So I dunno how good it is to see him live nowadays. Then again, if he drops by in MY town by any chance - I'm there! :)

    There, I knew I was right! :)

That is if If your friends share the same taste in music, which in my case they don't. And I don't even have a CDR, so I buy my CD's on the net, NOT to support the artist, but to satisfy my need for good music.

    Cheers!
