Actually, SFaM entered (!) the german LP-Charts on no.8. How's that for
popularity?

Well, not above 100. I looked at the billboard 200 ( numbers 1 thru 100
cause I didn't wanna pay anything) and they were not to be found. I guess
the rock market-segment is way larger over here :-)

Well, it keeps getting better! At least here in germany, things don't seem
to work out too bad for OFB.
By the way, it's great to see the tour dates for germany, once again my town
wasn't forgotten. ( Question for Mike: How often did you play for a sold out
place in Offenbach?)
Rock hasn't quite died in germany like it seems to have done in the US.
On a different note, Korn, RATM etc. is quite big here too, but we do have a
yearly Uriah Heep Tour to look forward to.
Think that's all for now

Not true. As of the November 13th dates on Billboard's top 200 list,
Dream Theater's Scenes From a Memory was listed at #72. I'd say that's
not bad at all.

Hey, what's wrong with these bands? I was forced to listen to the new
Korn album for my school newspaper to critique it, and I actually *gasp*
ENJOYED it. It's not bad music - you're just dissing them because they're
popular. Same thing with ICP: Their music may seem vulgar and
unmeaningful to one who doesn't listen to it, but if you were REALLY
listen to the words and the meanings behind the songs, you'd see that they
put a lot of effort into their music and that they discuss a lot of issues
like domestic violence, racism, and bigotry in their albums. Try learning
about what you bash before you bash it.

Bravo. I agree thoroughly with this thinking. I happen to enjoy ICP a
LOT, for these reasons. Besides, their music is so FUN.

Yeah, that pirate SFAM release gets really big sales here too. People
frequently stop me to ask me about my FII tour t-shirt. And when somebody
asks me "what is my favourite band?" and I say DT, there are no more "Dream
what?" questions, like it was before. And in the latest issue of our biggest
music magazine there's a big article on DT with much praise about SFAM. I
guess OFB has got a pretty big name here, so I only can hope for ... Oh,
well, dreams. They're never gonna come for a show here. Life sux.
And BTW my S&M and SFAM are LEGAL ones. :PPP
Peace and merry christmas everyone!

Gran Turismo 2 for Christmas!
Just a tip to that guy who posted saying he thought GT sucked because of the
arrow keys.... Use the analog controller that comes with the Playstation
and use the JOYSTICK. :)
Hope everyone on the list has a fantastic new year!!

Yeah, my brother got it for Christmas as well - I must say that I'm not
all that impressed with it. I was hoping for the same kinds of
innovations that Gran Turismo 1 put out there (that is, I was hoping for
some improvement on the original or something), but it's really just a lot
more of the same. Sure, there are more cars and different tracks, but I
was hoping for better graphics, more realistic control of the cars,
SOMETHING.

Only one problem with this: Not all PSXs come with a dual shock
controller, only the new ones. So anybody with a PlayStation that's more
than a few months (or a year, or something like that) is SOL.
