The last word I heard on this is that the release date had been pushed back to mid-Feb. Below is
all the details I have that were contained in the original post I received about this cd.

While here in Austin, TX for biz, I happened into a
bar where the Sonnier Brothers were playing. In case
you don't know, Dane Sonnier is ex-Galactic Cowboys'
guitarist. Also, playing drums for them was Alan Doss'
replacement for the last tour, Eric(?). The new band
is a blues/rock type band (ala SRV). I got a chance to
talk to them for quite a while (really friendly and
down to earth guys), and they both were shocked that
someone knew them from their work with the Cowboys.
Dane told me the reason he left the band was that he
had just gotten tired of the music business and the
music that the Cowboys were playing.
He said he is really happy now just staying &
performing around his home town of Houston (although
they did venture over to Austin for this one gig).
Eric was a little miffed about the whole Galatic
Cowboys / Metal Blade situation he was in. I guess he
was hired for the last GC tour (since Alan quit after
the album was done) and got screwed around with by the
label (monetarily). I guess it snowballed from there
into a big fiasco between him and the label/band. So I
guess we won't be seeing him playing with GC in the
future. BTW, his drum set was freaky... he was using a
standard 5 piece small kit, but with weird looking
African drums for his kick and toms. Sounded pretty
cool though... He said he just wanted to be different.

    Hey,
I have "created" a new DT .Gif animation that spans the "Official"
releases of DT. It's nothing big and it is only 68K but it is kinda cool.
If you want to post it on your site as a link to DT's sites, etc.. just
do it! It is for free use!!! I'm not that big on "exclusive content" on a
website... I was experimenting with a new Animation program and came up
with this after doing some scanning of CD's... I am not allowed to send
attatchments to these lists so you have to go to the following site and
log in to get it under "DT Graphics"

    here is the site: http://www.egroups.com/docvault/themirror/
Enjoy and email me if you put the gif on your site!!!!

This is the almost-monthly record show, and I know at least one prog/power specialty dealer will be there -- along with others who deal in, ahem, rare, live imports and (cough cough) videos......

Starts at around 10am and ends at around 4pm, at the Ramada North Central (I-85 at Piedmont/Monroe/etc.).

    I got this from stevemorse.com...

"Hello all, the first dates for the upcoming Dream Theater, Dixie Dregs tour should be known by early next week. The opening act is still undetermined. It is known that it will start west of the Mississippi and will be in Los Angeles for the NAMM Show. The Dregs lineup will be Steve, Rod, T, Dave and Jerry, but Andy will also be playing on many of the dates. "

So all you on the West Coast get the first taste in the US. Damnit, I'm in PA...oh well :) It says the 3rd act is undetermined, but I thought I heard that it might be Spock's Beard ....any truth to that?
