You know, I'm not given to sinking down to the level of fucking retards, but in this case I have to. The Doc knows what he's talking about when he talks about Fire & Ice's bubble of retardation (brilliant). Methinks someone (or two) fell of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down. These two have little if anything to contribute...it would be cool if they did us all a favor and unsubbed. Then again I would have nobody on the list to laugh at...and please...misogyny?! please, cut the fucking shit. It's misogyny if you hate Ice Queen just because she's a woman. If you hate her because she acts like a monkey with a snail's brain, then it's not misogyny, it's just hating a useless waste of oxygen...stupidity exists in every group, and I think as far as that goes those two are in their own category. I'm sorry for sending this to the whole jam, but they piss me off so much I had to do it, plus I bet more than a few jammers share similar opinions. Now, who else out there thinks the new Nevermore album kicks ass?

Others can speak to Dalbello better than I, but Edwin is the ex-singer for the incomparable I Mother Earth (IMHO), an opinion which may not be shared uiversally be those on this list, but they opened for DT on part of the Awake tour and blew me away. Their album 'Scenery and Fish' is a must. Canadian guys doing an impression of Miami Sound Machine on crack. Or at least they sound that way to me.

Damn, I've just heard one of the coolest bands ever: Ozric Tentacles. these guys are just incredible! They were being played at the coffee shop I study at. I've gotten to know the guy Chris behind the counter pretty well; he plays drums in an industrial/metal band called "Skrew" on Metal Blade Records. We talk about music alot, and he was playing OT today. They've got real cool keys and guitars. they're all instrumental, at least on the album Chris let me borrow, and they include non-standard instruments like the flute and bubbles :P this is definitely modern-sounding progressive stuff - kinda like if Industrial music chilled out (but not wimped out) and got played with live instruments instead of a sequencer. anyone else have opinions on these guys?

Accept is a German band headed by Udo Somebodyorother, who also fronted a band strangely named Udo on Century Media's Judas Priest Tribute. And yes, they are AC/DC soundalikes. They have several other albums, the most recent of which was entitled The Final Chapter released on CMC Int'l as a Double CD live set. It's not bad, but not fist-throwing mind-blowingly fantastic either.
In American universities, sex in the residence halls is frowned upon by the administration, though frequently, residence hall assistants will look the other way, remembering how horny they were when undergrads. Of course, you can always live off campus and not have to worry about such silly things.
And many thanks to Nic "lasers, vultures, caffeine" for sharing her dream with us. After all, if you can't tell your friends, who can you tell? ;)
Loooee mentioned the Grease, who although can start out a bit with enough humor usually can't end a story to save his life.

yea he played the beginning of platt opus in his piano solo. just like petrucci played some of the 1st song off LTE in his guitar solo. I don't think it's a big deal. I gotta agree, those vocal harmonies are great. especially on the 5th song. (I only have the CD in my car. no sleeve, so i don't know names)
The album as a whole I think is great. I wasn't really impressed with much of Myungs work, but not all music is written to impress musicians. Trust me it will grow on you. just leave it in your CD player for a few days. The only thing that REALLY sucks about it is I keep getting the lyrics "blue skies, fire flies, i've nothin to say to you" stuck in my head, the song is cool, but the lyrics are gay (IMO that is).

Well, I'd be lying if I didn't say that I would not mind IceQD not being on this list, but kicking Mosh off the list is going to be a little hard. Mosh and Skadz are the two founding fathers of Ytsejam and all that is Dream Theater on the net today, mmkay?

Would this latest rules update include differences of opinion about people conducted in a civil manner? Do you want to hear a flame? This is a flame:

Note that most of this falls under the "ad hominem" logical fallacy, in which the matter of the argument is foregone in favor of, more or less, insulting the other arguer (i.e. using various degrees of untruth on unrelated subjects). I don't believe I've done any of this. I made my point without profanity or insulting. Mosh actually did flame you, for the most part, but he did touch upon the fact that much of what you post on this list is for the expressed purpose of aggravating the list members, a point that is agreed upon by at least a few Ytsejammers.

Some dude's got a Foundations Forum 1988 sampler CD for auction which includes "Fortune In Lies" by MAJESTY on Mechanic Records!! I couldn't believe it... he had the back cover scanned in, and there it is in black and white. I went to the site and did a search on "Foundations Forum" and found it. Are you serious? Is this really a problem in some colleges? I can understand some colleges trying to prevent it, but where I go to school, nobody makes ANY remarks about sex in the dorms. There aren't any rules about people spending the night (basically, if your roommate's okay with it, so's the administration), although there are rules about "extended" stays in someone's room, to prevent a roommate from being ousted from their room for multiple days.
At the school where my brother's ex-girlfriend goes, they have rules about guys being in the dorms (the public areas at least) after midnight. However, if a guy is IN the room with the door shut before midnight and doesn't leave until noon the next day, they won't do anything. But she goes to an all-girls school, so I can understand them being a LITTLE more strict about it. But I've NEVER heard of any kind of regulations about sex in the dorms here.

Humm... This title reminds me of something: did you know that there's an Yngwie Malmsteen bootleg titled "The Real Vicking" (sic -- it's not my fault; that's the name of the bootleg)?
This boot is to Yngwie Malmsteen what "Trial of Singles" is to Dream Theater. If you know bootlegs, you know what this means.
