I didn't want to respond to this, but I'm going to have to:
First off, you language is most disrespectful. How old are you 11? 12?...Oh,
but if you were that age, you wouldn't "waste" your time listening to bands
like Dream Theater...mabey you're just some fat-ass loser who never went to
high school and doesn't have any type of vocabulary to write a descent post.
I think if the list took a poll, most people would support Derek in at least
his solo endeavors...why not?...I for one am really interested to see how
    progressive it would be...
So why don't you get off this list, becuase I'm personally sick of you and
your posts, and I don't think anyone here likes you anyway, so GET THE HELL
OUT OF HERE. Then you can go get an education.

            1. Doors open at 8.

            2. No opening act.

            3. beats the crap outta me.

            4. Ticketmaster should tell you that. ><

The ticket says the show starts at 9.

Well, I guess he didn't know when DT would hit the stage, because DT
were never supposed to hit the stage on a LTE gig.
    Just that you know...

Okay. One guy posted 2 or 3 times about how pissed off he was at my
    language.

    Maybe he was right.

I had just been catching up on several jams at once, and about all I
saw was "Derek !@#$ sucks @$$ and he can %^&* go !#%& his *^$@"

And that was about it. Then that Isaac dude. Everything was cussing out
    Derek.

I got really pissed off. All my rudeness was directed at the ones who
cussed out Derek (what did he do to you?), and the one person who said
that EVERYONE on the jam were assholes.

Now, as to the number of my posts, I apologize. It is a pain in the
ass to jump from jam to jam and make one e-mail out of it. All
h*tm*ilers should know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, some of my comments were out of line. But please try to
understand that when someone publicly cusses the Hell out of a (former)
DT member on the DT list, I feel like I cannot just sit and let it pass.

Maybe it's my problem. But how can I just sit still when people say
this: "All of you are assholes... Derek .........."

Now this is serious. I apologize to the other 1250 of you who AREN'T
being jerks like that. You have to read all this crap, and it's not
    right.

When I first joined this list, it WAS a "family" environment. Not true
anymore. And I think I'll try to change that, instead of just getting
    mad.

And I know I'm not the only one tired of DT thrashing on a DT list.
It's wrong, and I will NEVER say it can be treated lightly.

If you're going to say Dream Theater's music is $#!+, or that a DT
member is $#!+, you should go to another list to say it.

And I am NOT saying there's anything wrong with different opinions.
But when you EXPRESS your opinions by blatantly cussing out DT, you have
    no place here.

This is a Dream Theater FAN list.

A list for Dream Theater fans.

    Any questions?

    ------------------

Now. I'd just like to say that I found Fates warning - Still Life at
Best Buy. Only Fates they had. When I went to pay for it, I told the
chick I wished they carried more.

She told me she would talk to the guy who orders the CDs and tell him
there was a shopper who wanted more Fates Warning.

Whoa. maybe Best Buy is FINALLY changing their policies.

I hope. I still can't find Depeche Mode - Construction time Again...

Anyway, I've gotta go listen to Still Life now...

    Seizure later,

    -maX

If by this, Mosh, you mean to compare Kevin to Derek and say that
Derek had these qualities of sex appeal.. bwahahahahahaha! As one of
the few female jammers, I have to correct you here. For some reason it
seems the guys have been lingering under a false assumption that Derek
is some kind of mega stud that makes the ladies swoon. Completely not
true, except for the ditzy plastic blonde next to me in NYC mentally
making love to Derek. The first time I met him, what did I do? I
laughed. Kevin IS sex appeal. Derek, eh.... However, this really
doesnt effect my opinion of DT. Im not a fan because they are all hot,
young 20-somethings in flashy duds. I respect them as musicians as well
as people and flat out love the music.

Sorry to post here again, but Graham Boyle just e-mailed me again.

I'd e-mail him personally, but he won't read it.

He says no DT fan would talk to other fans the crappy way I have.

I would NEVER talk to a Dream Theater fan that way. The only morons I've
ever cussed out were people either:

    A) Trying to rip Derek or Dream Theater to shreds.

No DT fan would do THAT.

    or

    B) Trying to say that EACH and EVERY person on the ytsejam is an
    asshole.

I think I've made my point clear enough to not have to comment on
this again. I hope I'm right.

I will ALWAYS love and defend dream Theater from whoever tries to slam
    their asses into the ground.

I may be one of the FEW real DT fans here.

Expression of opinion is OK. Seriously trash-mouthing Dream Theater,
I feel, is not. Now I know I'm no better than any of you, but can you
    really disagree?!?!?

Long Live DREAM THEATER!!! That's what we're supposed to be about,
    right?

P.S. Did anyone bother to tape the first LTE show or is anyone going

P.S.S. Is it just me or is there any one else that would really love
for John Myung to use more of the Stick on the next DT album? Maybe
    somewhere in MET II...

    here it goes:
I was standing in the 3rd "row" right in front of Petrucci the whole night. Mike's
set was the "stripped down" set used for the fan club show and HftH, only with
the letters "LTE" "written" on it with masking tape. Tony played Stick the entire
show, and Jordan used only 1 keyboard. THe setlist (while not completely accurate)
    was as follows:

    1. Osmosis segueing into
    2. Paradigm Shift (with a bit of an improv)
    3. Kindred Spirits
    4. Another Dimension (LTE2)
    5. Petrucci/Rudess duet State of Grace
    6. Portnoy/Levin duet Chris and Kevin's Excellent Adventure
    7. improv
    8. what sounded like another improv (they didnt announce a song title but there sounded
like a strong melody or theme)
    9. I think another improv, not too sure
    10. Universal Mind (including an INCREDIBLE keyboard solo from Rudess) which occured
at about 3:46 of the song (CD time)

    encore:
    11. Acid Rain (LTE2)

After this night, I must say this (WARNING, EXTREME PROBABILITY OF FLAMAGE):
If Dream Theater (at least how they were on FII) cesed to exist, and all we had was LTE,
I wouldnt be the least bit dissapointed. These guys clicked together so well on stage,
they didnt seem like a "project band" they seemed like a REAL band. The energy these
guys produced was ten times as great as all 3 times Ive seen DT. You could tell they
were having FUN on stage. To me, LTE represents what Progressive is. They are THE
PROG band of the 90s. Their songs incorperate so many experimental melodies and
riffs from all styles. They take advantage of new instruments and equipment (Tony's
Stick and JP's 7 string that he used on Acid Rain), and are complete masters of their
instruments, while also playing them passionately.

I saw a few people from the jam, including AnalogGal (remember a kid with brown hair
down to his eyes and a black DT "3 photos" shirt that you squeezed by to take pics?
    that was me ;-)

    Highlights of the show were:

-someone shouting out from the balcony "Derek Sherinians a pussy!" about an hour or two
before the show started. There was lotsa laughs.
-the most retarded roadie in the world who delayed the show about 50 minutes trying
to get JP's guitar in tune.
    -Paradigm Shift
-making eye contact with both Jordan and John
-the crowd going nuts when Portnoy announced Jordan was the new DT keyboardist.
-Petrucci's newfound love of the whammy pedal :-)
    -the various improvs
    -Unversal Mind
-Jordans UNBEFUCKINLEAVABLE keyboard solo which included something from the RMP
Jordan is definitely the "Keith Emmerson" of the 90's Id even go as far as saying he's better.
the sounds he got out of ONE keyboard!!!
-Acid Rain. This is the SICKEST, most INSANE song Ive heard since Metropolis. If someone
had told me this was a part of Metro2, I would have believed them.

A little note on Jordan Rudess' stage presence. Those who say that Derek added so much
with his stage presence will go nuts with Jordan. He adds more than Kevin or Derek ever did.
He is one of the most active keyboardists Ive ever seen live, jumping around and leaning
intensely over his keyboard while playing. WHile Derek just tried to look cool and impress
what few ladies there are in the DT audience, Jordan gets into the music and looks like he's
having a hell of a good time playing. The way he acts on stage reminds me a lot of the
way Keith Emmerson would act, or the way Steve Howe would jerk about as he played a solo.
I think once people see him on stage, they will see how much more he adds than just his
    musical input. Derek who?

Anyone who is removed is being removed by their own stupidity, no other reason besides that. Grow up people, lets keep this a mailing list people want to be on.
