Well, learn German and look on the The Mirror pages, there you'll see it.
But I'm sure it's mentioned on UACM somewhere!

    Sounds like a killer show!

I'm guessing that some of this fantastic playing includes some incredible soloing duels between Jordan and Petrucci? How about incredible synchronized solos? Were they able to pull them off live? Did they do a lot of them?

It just seems from all the descriptions that these 2 guys could do synchronized solos at light speed in their sleep (and make them up as they go!).

But that would be impossible... They'd need a telepathic link! (Did anyone notice any fiber-optic cables running between their heads?) ;o)

I just put up a music page on Geocities with some song samples of my stuff, if any of you Ytsejammers are interested. Basically it's prog-rock, with perhaps hints of standard rock and metal. It has a URL, and that URL is: http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Opera/2398/index.htm

Sorry for the interruption, but after my post yesterday alerting you to the fact that my band, RAIN CHEQUE, has a song available for downloading from the mp3.com website, we have climbed in the charts from being #100 and something to #65!!!!! You guys rock. Thanks to everybody who checked it out and for those who haven't: no time like the present. Check it out at http://www.mp3.com/music/Rock/7268.html. Let's keep the momentum going until we hit #1. Thanks.

    >> PLEASE << People >> PLEASE <<

Consider this before you post! In off-time, when the list is really calm, it's easy to skip past posts that are basically private e-mail made public. Right now, it's not. CONSIDER how many posts you send to the jam, and if perhaps they could be combined! Within the course of 1 DAY I believe Mr. Geerts and maX Verran have BOTH beaten Damon's "how many posts can I get in one digest" record. I'm using you two as examples here: 5 posts that come through to the jam WITHOUT any posts from other people in between them means that you're simply not considering how much easier it would be for all of us if you would just combine the posts, and respond AFTER you've read your backlog of jams! As for maX, your posts are mostly USELESS one liners! If you're just writing to cuss someone out, can't you send it private? At least at times like this when we have so many jams coming through... it serves no purpose for us to see 27 posts in one day, of nothing but curses and insults. Even _I_ the king of the 5 mile post have refrained from going off on idiots on this list in the past few days, even when they're attacking me personally.

    Get with the program!

OK, I need to add to this.

    32. If your band has a keyboard player with more than 2 keyboards. 33. If your band has a keyboardist with at least one synthesizer with more the four knobs. 34. If your keyboardist plays faster with his weak hand than most people do with their strong ones. 35. If your keyboardist plays faster than your guitarist or drummer. 36. If your keyboardist like to stab his instruments with daggers, play on spinning pianos, or rip off classical music sections to put in your songs. 37. If you can't keep a keyboardist in your band. 38. If your vocalist has more than a 3 octave range and never sings lower than a dog whistle. 39. If your album covers look like trippy lsd art fests. 40. If nobody likes your band. I don't use lynx anymore, I graduated to other browsers, but the least you can do is put some text on your links so I can figure out what each link is. All I get is image when I tab around. HAven't tried it in IE4 or anything, but if you can just put some alt tags on those images, or at least make some text to read, or something that would be really nice. sorry to clutter the jam with this, but I would rather read this than flames. Right.. I apologize... I just didn't realize I was sending so much in such short amount of time... (especially with so many mails being posted to the list, there's so much to respond to). I'll keep an eye on it...

I have a suggestion. I think if Skadz is going to post as a moderator of this list, he should put the word admin in the subject line. Just so's I know to read it. I am not telling Skadz how to run this list, just making a suggestion because most of us breeze through and if we see a bigass admin thing in the subejct, we will know that skadzthe moderator is posting as opposed to skadz the DT fan. Hi, all,

I was wondering what you show recorders do to tape shows. What are your techniques? Do you get your recordings from the soundboard? I'm assuming that the better recordings are done this way to eliminate crowd noise. I don't know jack, mind you. I'm just wondering how to get more DT live recordings. I'm new to this boot thing. I've never

found a band whose live performances have interested me enough.

Anybody record from the crowd? I imagine that I won't sound as good, but I'm pessimistic about getting a recording from the board for various

    reasons.

Um, hi there, I just subscribed to the Ytsejam Digest or whatever it's called and received my first one. Now I'm unsubscribing. Your all idiots. I mean who cares if Derek or Kevin wore different clothes than the other members, they could of dressed in drag for all I care. What is important is how well they played, which was phenomenal. That's why they were in DT in the first place, why they were invited to join the greatest group of musicians in the world, because they kicked ass. Who cares if DT is becoming less progressive, or if Derek liked heavier music. Whatever they play, they are still DT and they still blow anyone away. Anyway, your little anal analysis' of clothes and hair isn't for me. maX, your retardeD! Isaac, Ditto! I thought this was suppossed to be a discussion group on DT's greatness. I have seen no discussion, just petty and childish arguing and name calling. See ya.

Wow. I go a week without reading the jam and....of course, crazy shit happens. Looks like it's back to 10 jams a day again! No complaints here though. I know I can't really say anymore about the situation than has already been posted repeatedly, but I feel obligated to donate my $.02 on the madness.

Derek: Great showsman, awesome musician...plain and simple. He added a ballsy keyboard sound to DT...and, I can't see how anyone who has heard OIALT can dispute his credibility as a competent performer. He will be missed (by most) for sure. He really added to the equation of FII....obviously not everyone's fav....but still a kickass album IMHO. Is he gay? I don't know. Do I care? Hell no. For all the "intelligent" DS bashers out there....I have 4 words: grow the fuck up! Noone's sexual preference should justify one's talent....(unless of course the artist in question is George Michael.....hehehe....jk). As far as his departure from DT his concerned....I'm sure it was more professional than personal.....I mean c'mon....just b/c they "played" together on stage doesn't mean he was best buds with DT! Remember he lives on the opposite corner of the US than the other guys anyway. Regardless, I'm sure he will continue to kickass in future projects.

Jordan: Ok, for those who are starving for more prog and hated FII.....well, I never claimed to be psychic....but, you're gonna get it! Will the next DT album sound like LTE? Maybe, but I doubt it. As I hear it, the next album will be recorded much like the LTE sessions were....everyone together and as quickly as possible. That fact notwithstanding, I'm sure the songs will be more structured and sound cohesive....how else would James keep his job? :) But, for those who say that the next DT album will be LTE3, you may find yourself digging your foot out of your mouths in a few months!

    See ya on IRC, Drew
