Hi everyone,
I will be doing some interviews with various metal bands in the coming
weeks/months and since I frankly suck at thinking up questions I
thought that I would reach out to the various mailing lists that I am
on for some help. Here are the bands and dates that I will be
covering:
Feb. 9 ANGRA
Feb. 25 NEVERMORE, SACRED STEEL, NOCTURNAL RITES
Mar. 1 THRESHOLD, PAIN OF SALVATION, and maybe ELDRITCH
Mar. 11 maybe KING'S X
So if you have any questions for these bands please E-Mail me
PRIVATELY with them (making sure to mention which band the question(s)
are for) at Jason.Breitweg@desy.de. I will do my best to ask all the
questions that you folks send to me.
Hopefully I will be able to type these things up and send them along
to Dr. Metal for inclusion at www.metalmeltdown.com. I look forward

hi fellow jammers, it seems that I have a notion to send my questions always when a flame war of extreme uselessness occupies the jam, but that's just my opinion of course. But, diversity is what makes life so interisting, and running away is almost never a solution(except when the other person is bigger and stronger,:).) Repeating myself I say "very cool that Mike(meaning MP) is still reading the jam" especially when some of the posts personally attack members of his "family". Now, he could give a fine shit what xxx@yyyy.com (btw.,Chris, having a hotmail account can have different reasons, e.g. not having an own computer, but, of course, I'm not personally offended since it was you)says about anybody, but I guess after reading nonsense every jam, you just go "you fuck". Fortunately he plays drums and can release steam there. So, everytime during CiaW he hits the bass drum( he does that qyite often I believe) he thinks: maxverran, maxverran, JP is cool, heheehe, take this jam, take this, shut up, chicken, runaway, I just can't believe they don't like James, suckeeeeerrrs. What I meant to say is that I think we're lucky to have him on and apparently he won't leave(damnit:),). Now for DT content I just heard surrounded with Mike on vocals the first time and my belly still aches... When I joined the fanclub I received one of these yellow flyers advertising WDADU. THere was a promo of Status seeker mentioned. Did that ever come out and does somebody have it besides Mike? I don't think it's in the FAQ. Later dudes, schnipp, sebastian trying not to be a problem

That was because we kind of helped push it into existance. There were many, many of us back then who had not heard it. The first time I'd heard it was after I'd bought the CD. It circulated on very few bootlegs back then, and then only a couple were even clearly audible. So, someone (I can't remember anymore who) brought up the idea of starting an internet petition. That was the first time we'd tried that sort of thing. It really helped push East/West into letting DT into the studio to record and release the EP. All of the uncovered stuff afterward was just whipped cream with sprinkles on top. :)

There are no rules of bootlegging, there are just laws against it. hehehe. There is something of an "ettiquitte," however. Generally, selling bootlegs is a bad thing, unless you recorded it yourself or obtained permission from the recorder. (I still frown at selling them in general). Basically, when I do the bootleg thing, I go for a straight trade. I'll trade someone straight across for a boot they might want, or a sampler CD of bands they're interested in, or for just blank media if they're interested. Selling is generally a no-no unless it's an original mass produced one that's hard to find. (like Mike Bahr or KTS boots). Just use the Golden Rule of the 90's: "If someone did this to me, it would totally piss me off" and you shouldn't have any problems.

I think a short story of no less than 500 words in the message body, detailing the reasons for leaving, should be required. The YTSEJAM CONSORTIUM will then vote on whether the reason is acceptable. The vote will be FINAL! The person shall either be unsubbed or not.

Never have I seen a female muso NOT encouraged to participate. Case in point: About two months ago, I expressed an interest in learning to play bass and the very next day, my mailbox was busting with emails from people offering advice and encouragement.
