What I am saying is Sad is: that if you run from God, your whole life and
mental structure gets thrown out of whack. I'm sure none of you
understand this, but its true. #2 Yes it is Sad about Peart losing his
family, but you know what's cool? I heard he got saved... You can email
me your replies. I did not post the whole story on what I thought before
because this Board ( I think ) did not not want God, politics, etc...
discussed. So I don't want to start a big chain war, just email me. =)
I'm not here to argue. Just a Dream Theater fan... peace

heh. Catholic whitticism at its best. Mind. Gutter. Head. Ass.
    Something needs pulled.

    >I'm sure none of you understand this, but its true.

Hmmm... because God said so? Thou shalt not debate thine ideas with thy
Lord lest ye be bound for Hell? Shit, if that's the case, I better start
packing some suntan lotion, because I know where I'd be going then. :)
    Life's a test, and I have a cheat sheet.

It was something like, oh, maybe 2 years ago when I was still pretty
headstrong on this list (more than I am now, anyway) and there was a large
gay debate... I said something along the lines of "I don't give a shit what
they do in private, but I'll beat the shit out of the faggot that makes a
pass at me." Someone asked if I'd say the same thing if I found out my best
    friend was gay...

Well... It just so happens that I found out that a friend of mine I've
known since 6th grade decided it was time to step out and tell everyone that
he was gay. You know what? It doesn't change one damn fucking thing. I
don't know what I was afraid of more... the idea of some gay dude sticking
his Slim Jim up my ass or the fear that I might like it. After my friend
told me his secret, I realized I didn't have to worry about it anymore.
Here's a guy I'd spent nearly half of my life hanging around playing
Nintendo, getting drunk, chasing chicks (aye, he put up the ruse back in the
days), and it doesn't change the person he is whatsoever.

Maybe your religion, personal beliefs, whatever, think that being homosexual
is fucked up and evil, but if that's the case, I can only feel pity for you
    and your beliefs.

    >Has anybody some tools to zoom the picture with good quality so it would be >possible to read the tracklist ?

    Don't be a doofus, arash. :)

Couldn't you tell by the way Mike panned away from that shot real fast that he didn't mean to show us that? When he's saying, "And here's the setlist- uh, let's go somewhere else!", was that not obvious enough?

In design or in comedy, I know what it feels like to have my work viewed before completion, and it's never, ever good.

If anyone on this list can make out those titles, it's me. But even if I could - he panned by quickly and it's blurry - I WOULDN'T.

Matt, on Maiden: >Hell yeah that rocked!! I mean, it wasnt the best show Ive ever been to (LTE still tops the list),

The best show I've ever been to was my second DT show, at the vanderbilt in LI. After that is all the other DT shows. LTE is further down the list - I would have to put this maiden concert before it. Of course, it was also triple the price. Then again, that pays for 80 foot tall eddies and shit blowing up, and pyrotechnics have no place in a LTE show - you really can't compare. Then again, of course you can compare the amount of enjoyment you got. And in that case, I enjoyed the maiden concert more than LTE but less than DT.

Don't bother w/the game. Save for quake III !

Well, I sure am not gonna be at the SF show, but I happen to be going to the east coast (Rhode Island) in time to see them, and the band of a long time internet friend will be playing with them. If anyone wants to hook up for a show or two, or just hang out, drop me a line or something. I've been going to RI every summer of my life and still haven't found anything entertaining to do but bake in the sun.

Boxman have it listed for ukp 9.30 - that's where I've ordered it from. Indeed, that's now where I order most of my CDs from. Reliable and cheap, especially if you're in the UK.

Kudos to you for bringing that up on the 'jam. I'm a night baker, so I get to listen to Art Bell from 1-5 am EST (paranormal/x-files type talk show). He's been talking a LOT about the stuff you mentioned there, and he's also had guests on to speak about it. As for Cassini, there was a letter writing campaign to the white house shortly before it's launch, to try to get it stopped, because the problem we now face was forseen. The number of e-mails sent to the white house about cassini set a record for the most e-mails on a topic, so people in gov't are very aware of this. And to top it all off, the sun has been very active lately, and sun spots are at their highest since the late 50's. there is some more info available thru Art Bell's website if you surf around it. It's at www.artbell.com

Greetings fellow (insert whichever title trips your trigger)

Is it just me, or does Planet X sound more improvised than either LTE? The drumming, while technically admirable, seems unmusical and repetitious. The guitar playing is nothing special, either.

Derek seems to find a cool grove once in a while, but unfortunately keeps with it a little longer than I appreciate. The mix is very bottom-heavy, to the point of being unnatural sounding. I'll keep listening, I've always supported Derek's talent, but my opinion so far is: YUK.

"You have got yourself a new fan! I really love the stuff... All the playing & writing is awesome. Also, Jens really is a great addition to the sound. I will be giving you much spin time in the coming weeks. Thanks for the great music. Anything I can do to help get you some attention would be my pleasure...."

So, who said this? Why, none other than Mike Portnoy. Don't just sit there, go out and buy this album and do your ears a big, big treat.
