As for Borders, I saw LTE at a listening booth at Borders a few months
ago. You people gotta realize how lucky you are. I saw The Gathering
the other day at Tower, but I still have not been able to find the
elusive In Flames, Katatonia or Opeth. There were about 50 copies of
The Cranberries' latest release, however. Lots of Limp Bizkit, too.

This doesn't seem to work for me. At least when I go to the page
through this link I see no mention of a discount. I even tried making
an order (not all the way to completion) and it never mentioned

I dont think youll find those in a record store, unless they have a special
import section, or a section dedicated to the genre (which is less
plausible) maybe in independent stores or something... anyways the best bet
is to order them online..CdNow has all three opeth cd's at 13.99 each..,
Katatonia's discouraged ones and brave murder day for 13.99 each, In Flames'
whoracle and jester race for 12.99 each, and some other imports of theirs..

Just because they have posted with a hotmail account does not mean they have
created it for that reason alone. A person might have had the hotmail
account for months and use it weekly from a library to send/receive email,
post to groups, etc. while surfing the web. So when they do stumble upon
this list they use it to post a question.
Web based accounts are good for more than just creating and forgetting
about. I use them for trading purposes as well as for sending mail to
anything that might put me on a spam list. My private account is strictly
for personal correspondence ensuring I don't get an inbox filled with get
rich schemes. Once the spam gets out of hand with a web account you simply
create another.

I think some people here are missing the point of having a FAQ in
the first place. Let's look at another example: A new DT fan comes
onto the net, but *doesn't* join the list - he *hates* mailing lists.
But, he does have some questions about DT. Where should he go
to find the answers?
The FAQ was not created as an exercise to keep questions off of
the Ytsejam. It was created as a central repository for information
about the band and related topics. It is a place to go to find
answers. Another example: Somebody asked what "vindaloo" was.
Several people gave several semi-accurate (or wildly inaccurate)
answers. In this case, wouldn't it have been better to refer the
question to a more authoritative source - like Noah Webster? :-)
Now, if someone wants to answer all the newbie questions, more
power to them. Personally, I don't have the time to be a roving Ytse-
information booth. But, at the same time, I don't necessarily want a
newbie's question to be ignored. So, the only solution I can offer is
to point him to the answer.
Plus, it's always better to let a person find the answer themselves.
As the old proverb says "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for a lifetime."

just thought I`d share my joy with all of you jammers out there... My
Touring Into Infinity t-shirt came today (by the way, Nicole, it`s not the
one we thought it was :-) this one is even nicer, it doesn`t have those 3
pictures in front). Somehow, the idea of having a picture of some girl`s
bikini-top on my chest didn`t seem to work for my girlfriend. While I was at
the music store, I also picked up Once In A Livetime. Listened to it once...
I must say I like Mike`s solo, especially the part where he kicks in with
6.00 and plays it a bit faster than it appeared on "Awake", Petrucci`s
solo - no comment, the man is fabulous. Derek`s solo - weeeell... *ahem* I
thought his solo was a bit too short considering how long both Mike`s and
John`s were. Although I like it... but I have to say that I like Kevin
mo(o)re.
I downloaded two tracks by Queensryche off of Adam`s ftp-site... nice sound
quality. I just hope that the show will stay there for some more so I can
download it in entirety.
And a question... this morning I was listening to radio and they played this
catchy tune which had something like "so go ahead and jump" in the chorus
line, this haunting keyboard" riff", nice guitar solo... sounded kinda
pop-issh if I may say, I think it`s a bit older song, from `80s? well, if
anyone could help on this one, I`d be very grateful...
