Hey Steve,
I was just going to comment on your choice of albums and Fleming and John.
I just found out about them when I saw them open up for Ben Folds Five
here in NYC. Obviously, she caught my eye just by being on stage at
first, but I really got into the songs after a while.....I picked up "The
Way We Are" a few days after that, and I love it. The music and
composition is GREAT, and her voice is soooooo sweet.
I still haven't picked up "Delusions of Grandeur" yet, so I don't know how
to compare the two. I've heard the DoG was a bit better, but I can tell
you that I really like this CD a lot. Highlights would be "Comfortable",
the title track, "Don't Let It Fade Away" (gorgeous song), and the last
track.
The only gripe that I would have is that on some of the songs, the verses
are great, but then the chorus comes in and sometimes reeks of cheese,
IMHO. Otherwise, this is one CD that hasn't left my CD player that much
in the past few months.
