The band is Ocean Machine, and the albun is "Biomech". I think Infinity
is self titled, though I have seen it advertised as Devin Townsend -
Infinity. Doesn't make much difference, since the only way anyone is
ever gonna get is through HevyDevy or USG records.

It's actually Devin Townsend thru and thru, but he formed a band to record
it and called it Ocean Machine. The album is entitled "Biomech". Released
in 1997. Will kick a lot of butt in 2007 and 2017 as well. I strongly
suggest getting both "Biomech" and "Infinity" (which he released under his
own name). Can't go wrong. I honestly believe he's surpassing his former
guitarist Steven S. Vai in the talent department. (And I am a huge Vai fan
myself.)
I think you can order about anything by Devin off his website, the URL to
which has been posted here many a time in past few days.

Did anybody else record Tori's performance on PBS?
I would really like the track list.
Before I go on... I would like to make something perfectly clear: I like Tori's
music, and I mean no disrespect. Really. But...
I've watched this thing several times now, and I can't help wondering:
Does she have a dildo mounted to the piano bench? I have NEVER seen
someone fuck a piano before... But damn, she sure looks like she's giving it
her all. Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool a hell.

Russell Allen vocals are cookie monsterish ?
Not a hope in hell, either you are partly deaf,
maybe you have a bad tape dub, but RA's voice
is pure gold, one of the best singers around :)
Barney Greenway from Napalm Death is the most
well know cookie monster vocalist and he sounds
nothing like RA.
The only thing that I can think is 'cookie' about
SX, is that guitarist Michael Romeo, with his
rather large frame has been eating a few too many
cookies, washed down with some full fat milk ........

Ive got both Aegis and Velvet Darkness they Fear, and at least in my
opinion, Aegis is much better. Specially if you dont like growly vocals
( which i do like, since i love Opeth, InFlames,Dark Tranquility ETc.) I
cant really describe the differences, only to say that Velvet is
heavier, and it has a lot of silly sounding(imo of course) piano the
only advice i can give you is to give a listen first..before
buying...but i think other people on this list can give you a better
description.
Needless to say..i got Aegis first, then was dissapointed when i
bought Velvet..

Hey,
Thanks to all that pointed me to DT's home page for the chat
transcript (da...should have thought of that myself..!). It was
interesting that he didn't know what RTK was and that he ducked the
MetPt2 question. He made it sound like all was going very well in the
studio though, and that he was gelling well with KJLB and JM.

Glen Alvelais (Ex- FORBIDDEN - one of the greatest Thrash Metal bands in the
late 80's and early 90's), played leads on Demonic (although the record
itself has just a few solos).
Glen joined the band before the Low era with James Murphy, and played in the

Because I'm not so smart, I actually start going through ALL the

THIS MESSAGE IS IN INTELLIGENT FORMAT. Since your dumb ass does not

Anyway, I was listening to Labyrinth's "Return to Heaven Denied," and I
noticed that Tyrants "middle" voice is remarkably close to Alder's voice in
that similar range. Imagine Ray's voice on much of the "Inside Out" cd, and
that's the range to which I refer. It was bothering me, and now it doesn't.
By the way, Labyrinth is often described as a "Stratovarius-type" band, but I
think they are a tad bit more original, even if Jens is a darn good keyboard
player (smack, smack).

As you stated they're finishing the TSO Beethoven album right now, then
they plan to record another Savatage album which is being written at this
time. They are doing one perfomance later this month at the Hard Rock in
Orlando. That's all's I know. I would guess their next tour will be
Savatage material with a few TSO songs thrown in.

I believe Ocean Machine is the band name. The album is called Biomech.
Released last year or two years ago (I don't have the disc with me). Go to

it kicks a whole lot of ass and you should get it.

To the best of my knowledge:
They're finishing up their third Trans-Siberian Orchestra disc, which is
called "Beethoven's Last Night".
I believe Jon Oliva has begun writing(or will be shortly) their next
Savatage album. I heard RUMORS that it's tentatively titled "Poets and
Madmen". More RUMORS; Jon and Zak MAY split the singing duties 50-50
(personally I hope Zak handles most of them), and the album is
supposedly going to be much heavier than the last few. Also it's NOT
going to be another concept disc, since the last 5 discs Jon has written
were concepts (DWD, TWoM, and the three TSO releases).
