Hi there jammers
I call the masterminds of the list to come forth and give me, if they will, some info
about the CD entitled "Drifting Away" by DT.
I found it at CDzone (http://www.cdzone.co.uk/) when did a general search on Dream
Theater. It's listed as a Japanese import but they don't have any additional info
about the CD itself. Anyone out there know anything about that? Is it a boot? track
listing? ........

You'll probably have problems finding any of these in your local cd
store. Better to try online shopping at cdnow, musicblvd or
http://www.jersey.net/~lasercd/.
If you really like DT/Awake, you should also try to get:

Hello, guys!
I noticed a lot of you liked the latest solo effort of James Murphy!
I am involved in a music magazine here in Russia and we were gonna do an
interview with James very soon, so if you'd like to ask him a couple of
questions - go on and send them over to me, I'll include them into the
ineterview! And even though the magazine is in Russian, I will make the
interview in English available on the web and if youo like I can also post
it to the jam!

Hi there jammers
Sorry for not including this with my previous e-mail but I haven't checked yet the
last digest #4719.
What the fuck is going on with this -Frederico Mello Simoes Barbosa mo*****cker-. Is
he retarded or something or should we fill his inbox with 100MB junk. Hey shouldn't
Skadz do something about it. I mean first it was top10 then top15....now top40.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG
Sorry for putting this on the list but my nerves just hit red (and I'm usually a
quiet person). Only two words come into my mind: KILL BARBOSA.....KILL
BARBOSA.......KILL BARBOSA........KILL BARBOSA
Oh God I'm going insane.

Ok I tried to be nice to Mr.Frederico Mello Simoes Barbosa and
privatly email him to tell the dude that top 10,15,20...whatever posts
are not excepted here. But since he so plainly ignored my email and I
am sure that some of you prolly emailed him too, is there anyway that
the List-Owner (aka God of Ytsejam) can remove this guy from the list.
At the rate Barbosa's goin we're goin to see top 365 before summer.
I will be purchasing Strapping Young Lad today and am prepared to have
my head ripped off and stuck on backwards after listening to Devin
scream his vocal cords into a mushy pulp.

And the point is... what? You've gone from top 10 to top 40. Is this ever

*Sigh*. Why animals eat their young....
Anyways. Mike Bahr, on his Prism Records site, had the bass tab for Myung's
solo in Met I scanned as a .jpg from a music book. Does anyone have this
jpg? If so, can you send it to me? I'm a competent bassist, but not THAT
competent, and I want to check my results against his. Either that, or does
anyone know where I can get it? Private email, please, since all the
non-bassists probably don't want to read about this in the 'jam right now.

and they said they didn't know. I'm having them to back to their

Yeah I agree, his voice reminds me of Adler's, as well as
TNT/Westworld's
Tony Harnell.
The bad news is that Rob has been replaced in Labyrinth by some guy
called
'Morby' formerly of Domine and Sabotage.
Though I haven't heard his voice myself, according to a reliable source
(Mape)
his voice ain't a patch on Rob's.
What is it with these Italians bands ?
They change their band members more than I change my socks......

Funny that you meantioned this. We were just talking about this on
#ytsejam when a few people were watching the Storytellers special on
VH1. As far as I know there are no dildos mounted on her bench, but I
have heard rumors that she gets off. Seeing her "in cation", I can
believe it. Away from the topic of piano bench fucking, if anyone has a
copy of either of these shows, let me know. I tried to record the VH1
special, but my VCR is evil and wont record anything on cable.

D.C. Cooper's solo album is named
"D.C. Cooper" right? I'm having a hard
time finding it, is it released yet?
It must be... I downloaded a song
(track 8: freedom) from "Axecrazy"'s page
so I guess it's out there. Can someone
please point me to a place (on the net) where
I can get it? Didn't find it on CDnow, did I
miss it?
I'm getting really desperate... That song is
great! oh my!

Drifting Away is the same show as the Lords Of Sound bootleg, whose source
is a soundboard recording of June 29, 1993 Summerfest, Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. It is, however, four songs short of Lords Of Sound.

I've seen it at http://www.moremetal.com/
Lots of other great stuff there, too... You might want to check Laser's

I've done alot of shopping at MoreMetal (formerly Knights of the Round) and
they've always been good and fast. I've heard lots of good about Laser's

And get Ocean Machine while you're there, too. :)

But damn, she sure looks like she's > giving it her all. Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool a hell. Hehe. Actually, this was the subject of a brief Bafu Vai parody a couple of years ago (maybe '95 or '96). I'm gonna try and re-create it as well as my memory will allow (I think this was around the time of those two characters, Ytse and Jam, though I don't remember if this was one of their parodies or not):
First guy: "Hey, I'm gonna go check out this Tori Amos show tonight. Wanna come?" Second guy: "What kinda music is it?" First guy: "Oh, I dunno, some ballads and shit." Second guy: "No way! I'm not going to some sissy-music concert." First guy: "No, wait, you don't understand. This chick, she's something else. I heard she literally fucks her piano on-stage." Second guy: "Really? We're there!"
I think the actual dialogue ran a little longer than that and I'm paraphrasing quite liberally, hehe, but this is sorta the gist of it. I hope to hell somebody archived these things:). If by any chance someone did, maybe they wouldn't mind re-posting this little gem.
