It's okay. I prefer "Friday Afternoon In The Universe" and "Shack-Man" a
bit more.

THRESHOLD - Livedelica UK
Rating: * * * =BD 1995
GIANT ELECTRIC PEA
GEPCD 1015
Running time: 40.51
Line-up:
Glynn Morgan (vocals) - Karl Groom (guitar and backing vocals) -
Richard West (keyboards and backing vocals) - Nick Midson (guitar)
- Jon Jeary (bass guitar and backing vocals) - Jay Micciche
(drums)
Songs: (Live, with songs from Wounded Land & Psychedelicatessen)
A Tension of Souls (7.27) Sanity's End (11.06) Innocent (4.38)
Surface To Air (9.13) Paradox (8.27)
As always when Threshold is releasing a new album, there is also a
new line-up. This time it's a live album, which is showing a
heavier side of Threshold than on the studio albums. The drummer
Jay Micciche has a heavy way of playing, and that is one of the
reasons.
Usually it would be a strange move to release a live album with
only two albums in the back-catalogue, but the many line-up
changes and the development in style is justifying this. You can
hear it very clear especially in the tracks that are originating
from the debut album "Wounded Land".
The CD is recorded during their tour that went throughout 1994 and
1995, and included shows with Magnum, Paradise Lost, Whitesnake
and Dream Theater.
This album may be a good introduction for new listeners, but also
a great album for the old fans.

I apologise if this is an inappropriate post here on ytsejam.
Whilst cleaning out my CD collection, I found the following 2 Dream Theater
CDs. I loved listening to them, and I still buy studio albums, but I don't
have much time to listening to every single CD in my CD collection these
days, sigh.
- 1997 International Funclub Christmas CD
"The Making of Falling Into Infinity"
recorded, compiled, edited by Mike Portnoy
- Scenes from a Memory (1996), original, number 047 of 500
compilation by Mike Bahr / Prism Records
I'm fairly compulsive so I've kept these CDs in mint condition.
I have no idea how much these are worth. Why don't we do this, kinda like
open bidding. If anyone is interested, email me and quote a price. Let's
start at a whopping price of $5.00 each! :-) I'll keep everyone who emails
me updated on any new offers that come in. After a week, I'll sell the CDs
to the best offers. I'll give preference to anyone buys both.
You'll pay $3.00 shipping (or $3.00 for both). I'll mail via US Priority
Mail after the check clears. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area,
I'll be enticed by any offers to physically pick them up, including a price
break. I'm at the junction of 92 and El Camino Real in San Mateo.
It goes without saying that I respond to every email fairly promptly. Any
questions, just email. Thanks for reading.

Medeski, Martin 'n' Wood. They're young, and really good. A little bit ago, when I 'decided' to get into jazz, I went to tower and got some stuff. The guy strongly recommended them to me, based on what I said I wanted. I was not dissappointed. They're grrreat!
What's really eerie is, your email started with:
"was playing a pretty neat mellow jazz disc, but I can't remember the name! I asked the poor guy to repeat it like 5 times, but I'll be damned if I still can't remember what it was."
And I KNEW, yes I KNEW, with no further clarity needed, that you were talking about medeski, martin, and wood. It's probably not that much a coincidence that I guessed it - it's a strange name, it's jazz, and it's the kind of jazz we would like.
I remember when the clerk at tower first mentioned them:
"you should try medeski, martin and wood". "Who?" "medeski, martin and wood." ".....I'm sorry?" "medeski, martin and wood". "Meshuga?" "medeski, martin and wood". "Meatloaf, Steve Martin has a woody?"
Finally he just started sobbing uncontrolably. I had to bitchslap him back to sanity.

Here are mine - in no specific order
1) Queensryche - Promised Land 2) King Crimson - Thrak 3) Dream Theater - Images and Words 4) Bruce Dickinson - Accident of Birth 5) Marillion - Brave 6) Angra - Angels Cry 7) Queen - Innuendo 8) Anthrax - Sound of White Noise 9) Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power 10) Guns 'n Roses - Use Your Illusions I & II
honorable mentions: Bruce Dickinson - "The Chemical Wedding," Dream Theater - "Awake," Queensryche - "Empire," Iron Maiden - "Fear of the Dark," Slayer - "Seasons in the Abyss," Savatage - "Handful of Rain."
