<once again emerges from the woodwork>

ya know, i don't even know where to begin? hmm...wow. that's a good
start. i was at the 5/20 JP/MP clinic at Daddy's in Boston. that's the
first time i've ever seen any member of DT live. never been to a concert.
or a clinic. just listened. and listened in awe, for that matter. but
seeing them... let alone being in the FRONT ROW!!

let's just say we got there early. to be perfectly honest we (brian and
    I) thought there'd be more people there. we got to Daddy's at 4pm, the
clinic was scheduled to start at 7. they kicked us out for a sound check
at 5. we were first in line. no one else showed until around 5:30 or so.

i've never been starstruck before. until i was standing in Daddy's,
watching John check all his gear, and watching Mike eat his dinner and
make a phone call. can anyone identify with me here when i say that the
first time you see them in person it's like "hey, they really exist!"?

well i'm just babbling at this point...let's see...the clinic was amazing,
from my point of view. i'm not a guitarist, i'm not a drummer. i'm a
music education major at SUNY Fredonia that just finished her freshman
year at college. i'm a Vocal major. mezzo soprano. but DAMN, was i
impressed. they make it look so easy. and they're the nicest guys too.

if you ask me, we're all really lucky to have such amazing musicians that
are willing to travel as much as they do, and sacrifice as much of their
time as they do. Thanks guys.

    i'm done now :)
    continue jamming.

    Hi, there!
I just uploaded another 3DDT pic, majesty7.jpg. I don't think that my old
K6-233 was too pleased with all that raytraced stuff (ie. the way the balls
reflect their surroundings) but still, I think it was worth it. So if anyone
wants to sponsor me with a Pentium III 550, please don't hold back :)
Anyways I hope you'll like the new pic...there are more to come!

    Take care now, bye-bye then

Walk through a record store and compare the good-bad CD ratio.
I'd rather have 100 great CDs and a killer stereo setup to enjoy them
on then 1500 mediocre to BAD CD's and a system to match.

I Don't think you could find 1498 CDs that equal I&W and APSog musically.
I'm being an ass, but it think you get my point.

I have a HUGE record, reel-to-reel tape and CD collection. I don't think I could
find 100 performances that I would call truly Great... If you can, you set standards
    much lower than I.

I never TOLD anyone how much to spend, I only mentioned the price of admission.
I also said this can be done one part at a time. Try getting a $10,000.00 car
that way. One doesn't NEED the cassette or tuner to begin with. Those two
components were responsible for about $2,000.00 of the sticker price.

You are also trying compensate for the LF roll-off of the speakers.
Think of it as a pocket pussy. Yeah, it'll work, but...

Once you have a speaker/room relationship that's capable of flirting
with the lower two octaves, you'll never be wondering *where the thump is*

I like some of the drivers JBL makes. Now here's my disclaimer:
Don't confuse the cheap JBL home speakers for the real McCoy's.
REAL JBL's aren't sold at stereo shops. Plus, unless you find the full
name "James B. Lansing" on it, it's some of the consumer grade stuff
that has been made by other companies using the name rights.
JBL has been out of the consumer market for years. This is also true
for Altec Lansing products. The Altec name has also found it's way to
the consumer market via the sale of name rights. Like JBL, Altec Lansing
still makes pro gear, that gear is sold through broadcast and studio industry
    equipment suppliers.

You're right! I like to see that it stays REAL through the chain of reproduction.
The music is much more captivating and involving that way.

Why do you keep inflating the numbers?

Just for fun... Wanna see some $125,000.00 speakers?

I would think the unmodified stock airbox was the restriction here...
The filter can only flow as much as the airbox/inlet allows.
This is assuming you're using the stock airbox with a K&N replacement
filter rather then the conical shaped K&N performance filter that replaces
the factory airbox. The onboard electronics may need to be addressed in
order to take advantage of the increased air flow. Sometimes the MAS sensor
will detect a false lean condition and make improper mixture corrections.

I have just gotten a video of a Mike Portnoy clinic from 11/18/98 in St. Louis, Missouri. This video is fucking incredable. I can't imagine a better quality video that isn't pro shot. I mean this thing is A++++++. Mike answers tons of audiance questions and plays along to several LTE and DT songs. The length is two hours long. And another cool thing is that I am the only trader with this video, so other people won't have it. Please E-mail me personally if you are interested in a copy.

So, we start to see the first problems. You're all very concerned about not hearing A THING before you watch it right? Good, sounds perfectly OK! BUT, how about 1 month later? Until then, 98% of the US jammers will see it and than .... what? You will all start to talk about it, analyze it, fighting about meaning of certain scenes etc ... 2 moths later all thr Britsh folks will see it too and we'll have second flood of the Star Wars thread!

Now, how about the rest of us, who'll get the chance to see it maybe few moths or even year later? I don't want to hear too much before hand too! But is the fact that I live in Macedonia gives me less right to ask for no spoilers? No! So, all of you who plan to kill or beat the crap of the punk who consciously tried to piss people off with his spoiler, please take note that you might be doing the same thing toward someone from Bangladesh or anywhere else.

As someone said, the only solution is: YTSEJAM IS NOT A PLACE TO TALK ABOUT STAR WARS!

So don't! ... hold on .... now I see some punks reading this just decided to spoil all the fun and deliberately post, just for the sake of being "cool"! Because non nice demand was ever appreciated here. Which makes this post totally meaningful!

Supposedly they released another disc in Europe... but there about a few bands with that name now... and I think the singer went to another band, can't remember who...
