Esctasy is good with I&W. I felt the unity of the album. (I picked up I&M
(cool cover I thought) for $3 at a flea market and its been my favorite ever
since). Rolling requiers good music and I&W always did the job of uplifting
me to new heights beyond standard conciousness. I felt energies through my
body that matched the music. I felt as if I were in DT.

    PCP, I can't remember.

Hello there... I have seen Guster a number of times before they weren't "a
thing" so to speak. They were on a label called AWARE which I believe is
out of Atlanta. This label is responsible for finding some really popular
artists (Hootie and the Blowfish <sure, I don't like them but remember how
popular they were?> The Verve Pipe, Matchbox 20 and many others) I used to
see them when they would open up for a powerhouse band from NH called
"Thanks to Gravity" they signed to Capital and then got dropped on purpose
because Capital wouldn't promote them like they wanted to be promoted.
Guster used to tour with Thanks to Gravity when they were both on AWARE.
Anyway.. back to Guster. They (if I remember right) are a 3 piece 99%
acoustic band with a crazy bongo player for a drummer. He's NUTS! He does
some stuff on the bongos that I couldn't dream about doing with drumsticks!
As for the quality.. fantastic. They are great songwriters with EXCELLENT
harmonies and melodies. I would suggest Guster to anybody. Their slogan
used to be "Guster is for Lovers" they had bumper stickers made up like NY
is for lovers.. remember that during the 80's? Anyway.. I am pretty sure
they are from Boston.. and now they are very popular. I recommend this to
anybody.. unfortunately I don't have any of their CD's but I have a tape of
    some of their stuff.

Agreed. I, too, have/had my fair share of pages online
that I don't want everyone and their dog to see...

Like, for instance, secret URLs with birthday messages
      for close friends...

O.K. - that's all fine and dandy _if you have flawless analog tapes, much
less vinyl records_. Aren't you skirting the issue of lifetime here? Every
time you play your priceless record on your priceless turntable, you're
degrading the quality of said record. Sooner or later the *snap, crackle,
and pop* of the resulting record will seriously detract from the listening
experience, since all that noise seriously distracts from other subtleties
intended to be heard. If I accidentally scratch a CD, I can wipe out the
scratch with a polishing kit (assuming the scratch doesn't make it to the
aluminum) and the CD is good to go... can this be said of vinyl? On another
note, if you're willing to re-record your vinyl to reel-to-reel on a continual
basis, that's your choice. But it just strikes me as unrealistic for the
    average audiophile.

Why would we spoil the surprise for people in the US by

because SOME countries in Europe already have the album

I said AT LEAST 12 hours PER DAY since the 11th. And I'm not the only one
    waiting to hear it.

That's Ironic considering you're playing KISS's "Rock And Roll All Night"
    as I type this.

    >song played. It's like when a listener calls 145 times for the same song

This is my fifth request since the 11th. That hardly qualifies as 145 times.

There used to be a time when a radio station gave a damn what the LISTENER
wanted to hear. It's nice to see YOU have everything in perspective.
I'll be sure to forward this exchange to the appropriate local Internet news groups..

Thanks for the wonderful demonstration of customer appreciation..

Yeah...if they were a European band, the folks in the States wouldn't have heard of them in the first place. What a world...

Damn man, HASBEN BAND????? Thats pretty rough... What is this guy's email address.... frick man, we should gang up upon this prick..... That just pisses me off.... no one freakin knows what talent is these days... music is only considered "good" if you play the hell out of it on the radio and girls throw off their tops to the "band" during a concert..... I say screw them, I was listening to their shit on the web feed but no longer will i do that! We tried Al......

really pissed..... ytseJon (maybe its just P"sfam"S: Pre -SFaM Syndrome)

Well I doubt that, but I'd certainly share my opinion with a different accent. ;o)

Maybe I should explain what I meant a bit better. Let's take another band like Porcupine Tree, for example... Porcupine Tree is from England, and I'm on their mailing list... Europe gets the new album before the US does... I certainly don't expect them to wait for the US to catch up before they start posting about it. Same with Marillion, the new album is already out in Europe and people are already posting about it... while I still have to wait until November to get my hands on a copy.

I don't think we have to wait for every single country to get the album before we start posting our opinions of it. I'm not saying it's fair, or unfair, it just seems to be the way that it is... the courtesy falls to the country of the band's origin, wherever that may be. Just an observation.

This guy is actually pretty cool. He's the only person at that station who plays any real music, he does the metal show in the middle of the night Fridays. I agree completely with what he said...if you like the band so much, put 'em in your damn cd player. You're not winning any fans by being assholes to people. Grow up.
