I have stated in another post that I heard the tail end of Home yesterday on the radio, and it is hurting me. I have tried to uphold the veil of secrecy, but I have fallen. I need to hear Home at least. I could deal with not hearing anything else on the album, but for God's sakes, this is a released single, I neeeeeeed to hear it in full. Where can i download it? Email me privately. Flames will not be taken lightly. Somebody, please help me. I don't care to hear the rest of the album, just home. Help me.

Keep up the good work!
For those of you that are sending mail to to my local radio station, I thank you so much. I think it would be best if subsequent e-mails be in the form of a generic request for the song rather than an obvious extension of what my exchanges with them have been.
I'd like them to perceive the requests as independent wants from music listeners. I'd like us to perceive the same thing. After all, I'm doing this for our favorite band, not myself. I think the Twin Cities and Dream Theater deserve each other.

I don't see what the whole "John Myung doesn't talk" thing is... he seems to be a very personable guy. I've talked to him twice now outside The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York, and both times he's been very personable, complete in answering questions, and quite nice to the fans. Yes, he's soft spoken, but that doesn't mean he's silent all the time.

Actually, John M. did a small stand-up comedy routine while everyone else was doing musician clinics...It's TRUE!!! He had bigfoot do the lighting, Nessie served drinks, and an alien was his tour manager...he's so funny that he makes Tom Green look like Peter Jennings :)

You can still see (well, sort of) the cover on CDNow. Go to the Dream Theater page(do a search), not the SFaM page. There it is ... in all its thumbnailed splendor. Now I understand a little bit about the veil. The boys are being *VERY* nice to us. Everything diehard fans wish for will be there (c*****t album, M********s II, the old font, ...) Oops, did I spoil it ??? Well, the veil and the spoilers don't really mean a lot to me in Indonesia. Spoilers are simply accepted facts of life here. I had to know Darth Vader was Luke's father long before I could see the movie ... :-)

Thanks people!
The Jammer mailing count is now up to 21. (11:24 PM CDT) Let's keep the heat on. Avoid putting Dream Theater in the subject line in case they are in "delete before read" mode. I have my local goon squad working on the phone requests. :)
I know we can do better than this... C'mon people! mailto:mail@93x.com Let's bombard these pricks with generic requests! Tell 'em you heard the song on the Internet's "HardRadio" and it kicks ass! You'd now like to be able to hear it in your car but you don't have a long enough phone cord to make it to work...
Keep me posted so I can keep an accurate count. I'd really like a BCC or pasted copy if you don't mind... /Ammunition if I have to take this to the next level. mailto:al@isd.net
We WILL win this one. One city at a time. :o)

Though the mountains may crumble, and the rivers may run dry, there are some things that never, never change. Yngwie is one of em. If you like anything he's done, you'll love the show. I saw him a couple years ago, and even though I was sick of him when I went to the show, I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and he put on a hell of a show (consequently, I am no longer sick of him, and just chuckle at him behind his back). I think anyone who has no other pressing engaugement to attend should see the show. 1) it will give people a true frame of reference on who specifically he is, and what we all respect, and mock simultaneously and 2) it'll be a good time.

well, you can't hear it in full (not from me at least), but i WILL let you download the radio edit. it's at
http://wsbf.clemson.edu/cowgod/crap/dt-home-edit.mp3
not only is it a smaller download (5.4 megs as opposed to 13 or so), it won't ruin the surprise. they cut out all the parts that ruin the surprise from the radio edit, so it's safe to listen to :) hope you enjoy it. it rocks :) moo.

I DEFINATELY have to agree with Mike on this. I have to admit that when No Exit was released in '88, I loved it. But in the last 11 years, the production of Fates Warning albums has improved so dramatically that I can't even stand listening to No Exit anymore. It's one of the worst produced albums ever IMO. Although the songwriting was excellent on No Exit, poor production really lets this album down. Parallels, APSoG and Perfect Symmetry are by far better releases than No Exit. Only my opinion guys!

"Close your eyes and begin to relax. Take a deep breath and let it out slowly. Concentrate on your breathing. With each breath you become more relaxed. Imagine a brilliant white light above you, focus in on this light as it flows through your body. Allow yourself to drift off as you fall deeper and deeper into a more relaxed state of mind. Now as I count back from 10 to 1, you will feel more peaceful and calm. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6.You will enter a safe place where nothing can harm you.5, 4, 3, 2. If at any time you need to come back, all you must do is open your eyes.1.."

I so badly want to poke a little fun at Mr. Portnoy.. I'm not really sure if I want to test the boundaries of his sense of humor. :) Particularly when the humor is at his expense. Are you here? <evil grin>

is starting to piss me of. Now there are 10 second samples on the official website? Whatever happened to "experiencing the album as a whole"? Don't tease us like this.

Giggle. Shame on you DTGirl! I'm not telling you what they call it (although, I'm sure the possibilities could be endless).
Ok, raunch mode now turned off. Don't want Mr. Skadz screamin' on me!

Actually "Home" was played on 102.7 on Saturday night, during "The Rock Show" or something. Unfortunately, I missed it, but the DJ talked about it for a good 30 seconds or so. I think this is a syndicated show as well.....

HI: ALL
I went into my local HMV today to pre-order my copy of Scenes From A Memory (I live in the UK by the way) but he said that all stores will have a significant supply of them for the 25th (release date in the UK).
Anyway whilst I was in there I picked up the new Marillion album, Marillion.com and instead of tearing your hair out in anticipation any European DT fans should get hold of a copy ASAP as it absolutely rocks, in my opinion of course. The album isn't released in America until the 9th of November but I would really advise getting a copy. Its both experimental but exciting. Tracks such as Deserve and Built In Bastard Radar arn't a million miles away from DT and for an all out prog assault then Interior Lulu lasts a hefty 15 minutes and combines some of the weirdest effects with one of the heaviest keyboard solos in history. Anyway just thought I'd act as stress relief for you all.
All The Best: Dave "Calling All Stations" Perkins
PS: Another album I (very) highly (highly) advise.
