I'm so pissed off about DT not coming over to Turkey and cancelling both
shows. That's ridiculous; why the hell do they say "confirmed" then??? Don't
you have respect to the fans!? These last minute changes just piss me off!
By the way, I'm sure that's nothing to do with the earthquakes; who gave you
    that funny idea?
By the way that Gregg Bissonette song called Frankenstein is incorporated
from 12 rock drum grooves from 12 different classic songs; Gregg's
favorites. This should be the list, I guess:
    1) Frankenstein (Edgar Winter Group) drums: Chuck Ruff
    2) Walk This Way (Aerosmith) d:Joey Kramer
    3) Honky Tonk Women (Rolling Stones) d:Charlie Watts
    4) The End (The Beatles) d: Ringo Starr
    5) We're an American Band (Grand Funk Railroad) d:Don Brewer
    6) Tomorrow Never Knows (The Beatles) d: Ringo Starr
    7) Hot For Teacher (Van Halen) d:Alex Van Halen
    8) Rock And Roll (Led Zeppelin) d: John Bonham
    9) Wipe Out (The Surfaris) d:Ron Wilson
10)Manic Depression (Jimi Hendrix) d: Mitch Mitchell
    11) Rosanna (Toto) d:Jeff Porcaro
12 Come together (The Beatles) d:Ringo Starr

Hmmm, Nightwish DON'T sound like Strato at all IMO. And as for Tarja, I
think even the label 'gothic' is appropriate here sometimes (especially on
Oceanborn). Don't let this scare you off though. Imagine Rhapsody with a
    darker touch and divine vocals.

I just thought I'd bring this up. I'm sure many of you have heard the end to Pull Me Under and the words that are being sung right at the outro. Some of you probably dont' even know what those words are because they weren't in the CD booklet. I'm here to explain. James sings: "All that this too to solid flesh would melt"

and where did it come from? Well, it's a direct quote from Hamlet. The scene where he interupts his uncle and mother and has a moment to himself.

First post on this list, heard it mentioned quite a few times on Freaks, so I thought I'd check it out myself. Nice.

I found a page with directions to the Maaspoort Den Bosch, here's the link (also in english): http://www.movingaction.nl/maaspoort/index.html .

    Hope it helps.

Well they played JLMB at the show I saw, and it's been in most of the setlists - excluding the ones where they've played all of SFaM - I've seen except this one. Maybe they were pressed for time.

And actually, this information has been in the FAQ for years and years. :)

Also, it's "OH that this too, too solid flesh would melt," not "All that..." etc.

    Greetings fellow Jamsters,

Speaking of Fates.. <grin> I've had "Disconnected" since it was released a month ago... I love the music, but the recording sucks! It's noisy, has WAY too many effects, and they destroyed much of the vocals using excessive compression. They even added reverb and delay to a fucking piano! There is never a moment of absolute silence. Nothing ever gets a chance to decay. A note just hangs in an effects loop until it's replaced by something else. YUK!

Give me the master tapes and about a month in a first rate studio and I could resurrect this recording and give it the breathing room it deserves. Sigh...

Has anybody else noticed these recording shortcomings?

Well, the things to which he referred aren't really things that require an audiophile system to notice; well, the part about it being noisy, maybe. I dunno; I'd like to think that I have a rather discerning ear when it comes to music, but then I've never listened to music on as high quality a system as Al's.

Hey Al, what do you think about (you're probably going to laugh at me for this) the Koss TD/65 headphones? I've had a pair of these for a few years and just bought a new pair because my old pair shit out on me. I have always thought that for a pair of headphones that cost me $35, they have superior sound quality. I think I'd like to eventually save up enough for those AKGs that Al recommended to me.

Can you provide me with those model numbers again, Al? I seem to remember two of them: One was about $95, and the other was about $105, but I'm not sure what the model #s were nor where I can find them online anymore.

Wow! I had never heard that before, man thanks for the info! That's awesome... but those guys are so talented why did they let the tape run out or break at the end of that song? It is so unprofessional. ;-)
