So if that's the problem with AJFA, how come I can hardly make out
the bass (if at all!) during the quiet acoustic guitar passages, while it's
easy to spot (and NOT just doubling the guitar) on live versions?

Right here:
Oh! Oh! I see the sky; it's becoming a very, very bright red, almost an orange, a red - orange. And it's like I'm suspended, and the light is so bright it hurts my eyes. And I see this huge ball. Now in the center - it's, it's a gray colored ball, almost - oh, I don't know what it's made of, but a rock - like formation. But as it's turning now, it's beginning to change color, becoming a purplish, hazy, orange - looking ball. And now it's beginning to gather great speed. And as it's going faster across the sky, part of it has broken off now, and it's going now behind the sun. I see the huge ball of the sun. It's a ball of fire. And this is another ball of fire. And a piece now is broken off, and it's hitting into the sun. And there - oh! Oh! It's an explosion. Oh! I can't look. Oh - h - h! Oh - h - h! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Messenger. http://im.yahoo.com

I know the rest is still being booked, but DT's bookers seem to alienate certain areas of the country. It seems theya are starting in the west -up the coast -across the top and down the coast. Nothing in the center at all. I live in New Orleans and the closest show would be a 36 hour drive as of right now or 400 dollar plane ticket.

Mr music snob alluded to post Justice Metallica with some comment about his vomit hitting the floor. I never said the post Justice material was *good*, but since you have a problem with the fact that I refer to post Justice Metallica as having chunk, I defy you to name one pre-Bob Rock Metallica album that has as BIG a guitar sound as the S/T and onwards. Their music may lick the long donkey now, but Bob Rock helped them break away from that tinny, one-dimensional stock metal gutar sound that renders so much 80's metal unlistenable.

After hearing the story about DT possibly opening for Yes. Well wouldn't it be something awesome though. Yes Dream Theater Emerson, Lake, and Palmer Rush Dixie Dregs Queensryche Shadow Gallery to start. Then have a 2 day Progressive RockFest. AWESOME!!!!!!!!! This would be a true music Theater of Dreams. or a Dream Theater. Well it was a good thought. Wazup, I just downloaded the bootleg of the concert in Kassel from Lines in the Sand.
There is a part in Waiting for Sleep, that the audience starts to laugh, and James cracks up and laughs in the middle of the song. I was wondering if any of you guys know what actually happened there.
Thanks.

hi all,
I am totally busted. I have a Jackson American PS2 guitar. couple of nites ago I came home to find its neck totally wrecked. Somehow (!?) it fell neck first and now at the back of the neck, about four inches from the head stock there used to be wood carvey things and the thing has snapped somehow. I have detuned the guitar. Is there any way I can bring it together without changing the whole neck? I've heard about the glued on necks, if I apply glue there will it hold?? what kind of glue should I use (brand name). I actually thought about super glue but thought I should ask the experts first. I went to the Jackson's site but they do not seem to have e-mail address for someone who can help. Since I'm at the other side of the world and though i have friends coming from the States soon I do not have the money to buy the neck right now but I'm sure I can make someone bring me the chemical. So, Pleeeeeeaaase help.
Thanx in advance

No prob.. here's the original post. Those who missed out before, here's your chance. Ptacek: I'd like you to download these and give me your opinion on the musicians. Particularly the guitar player.

Greetings fellow Jamsters.
For those of you interested, (And you all should be) I have placed some MP3s on my web site. The band is BoneSoda, a three man band comprised of homegrown Minnesota boys! One of them is a silent Jammer... I'm sure many of you will find this stuff quite interesting. The recording was done in two takes at a college recording studio. It's not bad considering the budget and extreme pressure the musicians were under to get it laid down quickly. I think you'll find the results pleasing. I would really like to hear some feedback from people... as would the mystery musician. :o)

If those links don't work with your mail client go to this page and look for the links at the bottom of the page: http://www.isd.net/astrosch/music.html
