Nothing wrong with that. Out of all his stuff, I think I like Night Music
and Heaven and Hell the best, with Blaze of Glory close behind. Can't wait
    to hear the symphony.

Im an immigrant from South Africa in Australia so I can tell you that the NRA
    are full of shit.
In Australia granted there are probably a handful of loonys barricading themselves into
    houses
because of crime, but you would get them anywhere. There are maybe some suburbs
which have high crime levels where a gun may be of some use, but you can get a nice security
system for the same price. Again, this is a very small part of Australia. By and large the
    only
people who want guns here are hunters, and they can generally get them.
South Africa is an entirely different matter. Nearly everyone there living in inner suburbs
now has very high tech security (like if the alarm sounds, security men will come round and
    shoot
the offender). Most people therefore carry some sort of defence, such as mace. So yes it
is true that a large number of ordinary people own guns, but South Africa is a very screwed
up country to put it frankly. It would be impossible for them to put in place gun control in
the same way that America is capable of. Sorry if there is any South Africans on the list (is
    there?)
who feel different. Im no expert but this is just the impression i get talking to relatives
    there.

Okay, did no one tell you that they had pipe bombs?
B/c they did! Lots of 'em! Those can probably take
out more with a single pop than a gun can. I'd much
rather take my chances with a bullet as opposed to a
pipe bomb (which any dickhead can make... even Australia).

How about: Kids should be locked away from all guns!!! LOL!

Personally... I think that kids do an adult crime should do adult time. LIFE IN PRISON or
DEATH!!! Kids have too many rights. The government says WE should disipline OUR children,
BUT we can't do shit! If a parent disiplines his or her child, he/she (the child) will say
it's child abuse and the parent(s) will be arrested. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT???!?!?!!?

This country blows with it's laws!

No, actually it's because the week before DT was scheduled to play, The

made everyone leave. Soooo, The Recher Theater is being penalized with a
nice fine and by having their legal capacity reduced temporarily.

I have a question about Stratovarius "The Chosen Ones." I was searching

Hey how's it goin'? Just thought I'd let fellow CT people know that I
live in Monroe CT and got my CD yesterday, so it shouldn't be long before you
all get yours if you haven't already. And it is indeed worth the wait.
For those of you who have the CD, does this happen to you: The CD plays
fine in any CD player, and on my computer, but when I go into My Computer
(it's a PC) and double click the CD drive to view the files, it says either
'a device attached to the system is not functioning properly' (a new one to
me) or 'device is not ready'. When I press retry it doesn't change. If I
try to open the files using another program like Real Player, it does the
same thing. I noticed that when I burned a listening copy, the CD burning
software wouldn't let me do it Disc At Once because it says it's a multi
session CD. I know what a multi session CD is - but could that be the cause
    of the problem?
Finally, a question for people with a Kurzweil K2500 or K2600. I've been
a happy owner of a Korg Trinity ProX for three and a half years now, and am
still happy with it except for one big thing - that it cuts out for a split
second when changing patches. This would make it impossible to use the way
Jordan uses his keyboard, changing patches left and right on the fly. This
is making me eye the K2500/2600 racks. My question is, how easy are they to
use? How's the interface? Sounds I'm not worried about - I've played it a
little in the store and it sounds fine, and I'm sure I can program it to
sound how I want. What I'd be worried about is how hard it is to do so. The
Trinity is pretty user friendly (for the most part). I mean, I'm not
dropping cash any time soon at all, but I am curious about this instrument
for down the road when I have the $$. If anyone could tell me briefly what
they love about it, and more importantly what they hate about it, that'd be
    great. Thanks.

    Rock On everyone

I understand that the reason you guys are all fighting about this comes
down to one thing: you all have much too small penises, and for you ladies
wrapped up in the debate, the strap-on just isn't working out the way it
ought. I, on the other hand, enjoy the fact that I don't need any sign of
masculinity, be it guns, fighting, etc, because I am confident in the
heft, girth and length of my sturdy penis. Just because you all can't
feel the same does not mean you can't rise above it, though. Drink a
beer, smoke a joint, and masturbate for all you're worth. Take out all
that negative energy on your too small or non-existent peter. And fucking
chill out for Christ's sake. Be well.

Well, on this we agree completely and it's cool to see someone seeing the big picture here. People are arogant animals.

    Matej, pro life!

Korg elaborated on the topic: >> Explain that to all of the animals that are put to death every year simply because they attacked a human? You have to remember, people are merely animals, too. Yet, it's OK for us to kill everything else, just not each other. Ah, yes, I forgot. We are "God's chosen" now, aren't we? <<

Not to start a complete all-out feud or anything here, but Mike Portnoy came up in a discussion I was having today with a friend of mine who works at a music store. When I asked about whether or not they carry the instructional videos, he responded "I don't like Mike Portnoy anyways." I asked why, and he told me that in an interview, he said something negative about Neil Peart not knowing anything about drumming. I refuse to believe this, can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks for making such a worthwhile contribution to this thread. If a 6 year old kid taking another child's life isn't worthy of debate I don't know what is ?

I was watching Encore (on cable)... and this movie from 1980 came on, and right in the beginning I caught the credits for "The Band" And none other than Tony Levin was in the band... lookin' the same! He even has some lines too! The movie starred and was written by Paul Simon and was called One Trick Pony. With Tony's acting experience (haahaa), i think he would make a good Julian in SFAM: The Movie :-)

Dear "progressive people", I take tolerance seriously. I would apprecciate if the people who consider themselves "people who think" would read this post:

If you people talk about guns, or any other highly controversial issue, I will usually not look at what you say, but why you say it.

Is what you say YOUR opinion, or have you just accepted the same that everybody around you thinks? more importantly: Do you put the sort of effort into re-thinking/checking/updating your own opinions that you expect others to do? We all want others to "think about it", "see they are wrong" yet we all put so little effort into searching for what WE ARE WRONG at.

You can't really be 100% right, but you can PUT EFFORT into understanding the other, put effort into tolerance. Work on your views. Open mind for a different view and nothing else matters.

I mean, we have two directions: pro gunners derive their pro gunness from a basic constitutional right. Anti gunners are pure peace lovers, pacifists, right?? Why is everybody so damn aggressive then?? If you want nice peace, OR constitutionalism, then you should be a bit more open to TRUE debate, I think. To put it in another way, both directions have a positive source, but somehow what many of you transmit ends up being negative.

Also some of you people know so little about sanctions/punishment, it's effects and side effects; so little about what law is supposed to do, what law can do for society, that you might want to consider even refraining from some of these discussions. Similarly as many guitarists refrain from vocal-related threads............ I only said "might" and "consider", and I that is what I meant.

That's all from me for now.

    With respect, T-Bone

Tell the dumb ass it's not true. As a matter of fact Mike played on the fucking Rush tribute album, and claims Peart as one of his big influences. By Working Man and shove that in the fucker's face.

You seem to forget that the kid would've gotten some gun from underground/ black market sources easily, so there's no sense in stricter gun control at all.

Honestly, I 've never wanted so unsubscribe as much as I do now. This is the most irritating list of post I have received in a long time. Not that I am not interested in all that stuff, this is just the wrong place, sorry. This is a DT/ Music in general list and it gets totally fxxcked up by some annoying people who want to share (I mean shove it up our throats...) their opinions on these matters with all others on the list. Painful and irritating. :(
