I couldn't tell you whether or not he >would< sing at your wedding
(congrats, btw!) but I remember that his initial interest in singing was
sparked when he was singing for the church choir, so I guess that answers
your question about him singing hymnals or "church songs." :)

In his case, huh? Interesting indeed.

Apparently you're well connected to the specifics in this case, so you should have no problems producing - in a timely manner - documents to justify this assertion.

Or perhaps you're just drawing on personal experience of being a frustrated little boy.

I saw it when it was in boston in December. It was a decent show even if they didn' t play enough of the old. They play a handful of songs from mindcrime, 1 from empire, and walk in the shadows.. There's an odd 12 minute cover of bullet the blue sky as well. I doubt their gonna change the setlist around seeing as they haven't for all the shows leading up to this show.

Check it out, if you don't mind the new tunes that much (i hated em). Kind of sad when I remember standing in line to see mindcrime and getting shitty seats, and i walked up to the box office the day of the show and got 4th row center stage.

On a side not, The opening band Caroline's Spine is pretty cool. I picked up their cd afterwards and am enjoying it more than Q2K.

    man 3: No, you don't.

    man 1: Yes, I do.

I had a longer version until Skadz stepped in. So I shortened it a bit. Of course, the point is moot now anyway [and where is dan the cowgod].

I also came across an interesting website the other day: highly entertaining. http://www.libertariansocialist.com It's for a person who's running for the school board in Maryland. A nutjob if ever I saw one.

    >Rule #1 of effective arguing: only argue with people when you think that they are >wrong, NOT when you know that they're right but you don't like that fact. You'll win >more frequently if you follow that maxim.

Very well, then, let's take your maxim to heart. If you argue with a person to "win" you are what most of society at large calls... . what's that word...? Oh yah! An asshole! Arguing is not about winning, it's not about imposing your opinion on someone else, and if that's what you're trying to do it's no wonder you've taken so much flack from people on here. Grow up! Whatever happened to exchange of ideas? Debate? I'm not saying don't throw in a good natured blast of the flame thrower every once in a while, but don't go in there with the goal of having the person become your zombie. I hate it when people adopt my opinion directly after an argument, I feel like they're not thinking for themselves, and trying to appease me.

    > >I hate to break this to you, but if he lives, he will NOT >become a reformed, upstanding member of the community. >He'll still be an evil little shit, and in his case, all >the help he needs is a stool to reach the noose. >In this case, no there shouldn't! What a waste of time and >money - the little thug did it, in full view of everyone. >That he did it is not disputed by anyone. So string him >up, as a warning to everyone else.

Okay, judging from comments like this, you probably DO want everyone to become your zombie! Were you schooled as part of a national programming regime, or are you naturally this fascist?

Not to bring up the whole Nazi bullshit again, but the big problem is that people have forgotten what the word means. All they ever think about it when they hear it now, is someone who killed Jews, which allows people to go about expousing similar hateful beliefs, and as long as they're not being anti-semites no one realizes just how close they are to reaching the same level as Hitler and co.

The Nazis did what they did because of what they believed, not the other way around. THink about the kind of mindset required, the kind of dis-respect for humanity it takes to try and systematically wipe out an entire race, and then think about what Awake here is saying.

Yeah, I saw them in Cleveland last week. They were awesome! The songs from the new album sound A LOT better live! They play a ton of Mindcrime. I didn't see them on the Empire Tour but I've seen every tour since, and even though the stage show is smaller, this was the best show I've seen. Definitely worth the money.

One thing I noticed from LTE was that Jordan - like Derek, WHAT ARE YOU SMOKIN? Jordan uses two hands when he plays. Jordan can outplay Derek with his eyes closed and one handed while Derek uses 2 hands. IMO that is, but let's take a vote.

For those who have seen the concert. Who do you think is better. Derek or Jordan? You decide. The Wizard

Yep we're not allowed to debate who DT's best keyboardist is, nor can we debate Derek's sexual preferences.....

Please don't take the lord's name in vain, this is offensive to many readers...

Oh shit we can't talk about religion either....... Oh well nice weather here in Sydney town today :)

All I can say is "Help, help, I'm being oppressed!!!". Well, it was fun while it lasted.

    And now, something completely different...

Does anyone know if the new DT single will be released here in the US? It looks to have some pretty good stuff on it...

And amidst all the previously unmentionable ramblings, somebody noted that James said "See you this summer" at the end of a show. Yep, he did that out here in LA as well. I'm hoping it means what it sounds like it means.

    Damn, this is suddenly boring!!!

    Try www.radiantrecords.com or www.spocksbeard.com. That's where I pre-ordered mine.

NO. I will NOT decide, and I hope to God that nobody else decides, either. I doubt you want to get ejected from the jam, and it clearly states in the rules that there are "no Derek vs. Kevin" type conversations on the jam. I would guess that it's the same for Derek vs. Jordan.

Skadz is already mad at us for going into that whole gun-related issue; let's not make him pissed off even further.

I found out the the DT concert in Dallas, TX, sold out in less then 12 hours, maybe 24. I am not sure, but I do know it is less than 24 hours. Considering the clun holds 1500 people, but it sold out fast. I would like to know what is a good time to get at the concert if the doors open at 8:00. Please e-mail me privately. The concert starts at 9:00, so I guess there isn't an opening band. Talk to you all later.

I saw them last November in Seattle and the rocked the house. They played almost the entire Operation:Mindcrime album and a few songs off of Empire and Q2K. They didn't however play anything off of Promise Land or Hear on the Now Frontier(thank god).
