MP3's that are avail. when I am on Napster. I got at least 15 from being on
there. Check your search again. THere are almost always between 30-60 at all
times.

I wish my band was called "3rd act", If ya know what I mean.
Hey, by the way, I watched Myung speak today, from that
european Headbangers Ball from '95. With Good ol Vanessa
Warwick. I miss her.
There is a historic part there, where Mike says with a sad voice
that Jordan is not with them anymore (after that one gig). After that
they make fun of Jordan, but j/k.
There is another funny part when Mike babbles about how they
matured and realized that the song goes first, and not the chops,
and all that shit. Then the witty Johnie P. remarks: "I didn't realize
that".
Anyway, it was funny when he said it.

HI there,
about napster,
try to disconnect and reconnect again, there are many napster servers
you can connect to a different server then the last one, those server`s
are not connected to eachother,
each you connect to other server you can find different matches.

Smiley aside, Guitarists do not absolutely spend the most $$ on gear. It's
usually whoever has the most money spends the most money. You could have
an entire band made up of Goodwill Special instruments, and a singer with a
$1,000.00 mic cause he can afford it.
Hm. "Goodwill Special" -- good band name. :)
Of course, I happen to believe that keyboardists spend the most $$, since I
am one and I've spent much more than the other members of my band on ear.
I should prolly include a smiley or something to indicate that I'm not
entirely serious... Aw, screw it.

You guys are gonna love this ... I just hope Mike doesn't mind, lol.
I distinctly remember an interview Mike Portnoy did a few years back on
Fingers' Metal Shop on WBAB on Long Island, where Mike confirmed (unless I
was either drunk, or delusionary, or both) for the listening audience a
rumour that one of the bands he was in when he was younger did in fact
refer to themselves as ...
*drum roll, Portnoy-style*
Mangled Clit.

A microphone is such a crutch, though. A singer with any >real< talent
can easily project his voice without the use of amplification. And the
even >better< ones can project it right onto the DAT in the studio
without a mic at all. I mean, haven't your singing instructors been
teaching you ventriloquism in the least? What morons!

Actually... To be quite honest, I'd discussed that with a drummer friend of mine in high school LONG before you and I had discussed it - that is why I claim it's my (well, my and Erik's) idea. If we DID discuss it jointly, then it was because of something I mentioned about it beforehand. :)

Hmm I don't know about this one. I found this guy that had a SF one, and he offered me a trade for a St Louis one, he said it is MUCH clearer. I should get it early next week, Ill post when I get it.
I did get my grubby hands on the Chill Of Winter (Boot from the Euro warmup tour). I like this disc a lot. Whoever recorded it did a good job. Im jammin to Overture 1928 right now. Killer stuff live. I can't wait till I get the US tour. When the theme from Twin Peaks starts, I get severe flashbacks. I love DT :)

Damn, I get tickets to a rock show, (Creed/Sevendust) the thing sells out completely, and now I find out Satriani is playing THE SAME NIGHT at the HOB. This suks. Personally I am a huge Sevendust fan and would rather see those guys, being that I don't own a single Satch CD. I would love to go watch hime play though. Same thing happened with Vai, sort of. I had some project due for school the next day, the night before I saw Queensryche, and the night after I saw Doubledrive, and some band with Dave Mustaine I think it was. Oh well. Ill catch Satch next time.

Hi all
if you're looking for a new name for a band, there are numerous "band name generators" on the web that will come up with things like 'Bacon Bagels' (can only be a prog band), 'The Filth Of Our Underlings' (black metal, perhaps) and 'Meat Stamp' (punk/hardcore).
My favourite real band names have to include 'The Impotent Sea Snakes', 'The Ozark Mountain Daredevils', 'Queens Of The Stone Age' and 'The Men Of Porn'.

1. Acoustic Dreams was written, recorded, and produced by Mike Bahr at the Mike Bahr Studios, in Mike Bahr Valley, Arizona. He played all the instruments. Acoustic Dreams was released on the Prism label, owned by Mike Bahr. Hence Mike Bahr has the copyrights. He created that project from start to finish with his own hard work and determination. It's his property. If you copy it or ask others for copies of it, Mike Bahr will get mad.
2. Mike Bahr has a bodybuilding cousin named Joey who breaks other people's legs. If Mike Bahr finds out you're getting something of his without paying him lots of money and waiting a hefty six months for it, he'll get mad. If Mike Bahr gets mad, he'll send Joey to your house to blow it down like the big bad wolf. Watch that chinny-chin-chin, Jason.
3. No one gives a hoot about points 1 and 2. In fact, point 1 is utter nonsense and point 2 is debatable because no one has ever seen Mike Bahr and Cousin Joey in the same place at the same time.

Trent went: >> I was on Napster one time, so just for shits and giggles, I did a search for Dream Theater. I came up with nothing (which is kinda scary, if you think about it). Then, again for shits and giggles, I did a search for LTE and found two or three matches. You'd think they'd have DT if they had LTE. But oh well... <<
Maybe you should've tried Dream TheatRE...it's a common mistake. On the cover of my newly acquired Rudess/Morgenstein-project cd there's a sticker saying "New keyboardist of Dream Theatre"! in other words: it's everywhere... On the bandnames thread: The band i'm playing in is called (translated from Danish) "Don't get mad at me...I'm just telling you what they're called!" :) We also take pride in making songtitles that make no sense at all like "It's almost christmas and i want a Playboy", "Simba the thundergod" or "When voices turn to flour"
And now for something completely different: I just bought a Korg Trinity! Wow, whatta board! I love the touch screen, the lead patches(The classic Derek-lead is right there on patch #B79!), I love the wahwah effect and all the other effects for that matter. The keyboard action is incredible, and it only cost me $1300.
I'll stop my ramblings now...

me cant wait till march 30th when DT comes to town

A freind of mine passed this along to me, and I had to share it.
You heard right, CNN is reporting that the music of the Backstreet Boys are being used by University of Toronto campus police to "torture" students into ending a sit-in in the president's office. There were 20 students, but only 8 are left after 6 days of Backstreet Boys torture. I have to admit, I would have been one of the ones to leave. I'm going to have nightmares just thinking about it. Check out the entire story at the below link.
