Since the breakup of Echolyn Brett Kull and Paul Ramsay have
also been playing in a band called Grey Eye Glances. If you like good
female vocals and "softer" music in the vein of Indigo Girls or Tori Amos,
then you should check out Grey Eye Glances. They have interesting music
(though it isn't heavy by any means) and great melodies, plus the superb
female vocals that I mentioned. They're an as yet "unknown" band from
Philadelphia which is how they know the guys from Echolyn I imagine.
They had two albums put out by Mercury records but were dropped when
they didn't generate enough sales. They're now working on a new album
and they have a few MP3 samples available for listening or purchase.
They're also a good band live, if you're in the Philly area.
If you're going to pick up a Grey Eye Glances album, I'd suggest
"Eventide" as the starting point. I believe that you can still buy it
at amazon.com. You can also visit their website at www.greyeyeglances.com.
