So far I've only seen one copy of The Perfect Element (at Tower, and I
bought it) and it's not the limited edition one. How can I tell if a copy
another store has is? Is there a sticker on the outside? Is it different
packaging or a higher price?

No, they haven't released it. But they WILL be. If you're wondering how
you can get a hold of this bootleg, stop. You won't be able to. It was
on Lines in the Sand for about three days before Bogie was contacted and
told to remove it due to the fact that there will be a CD released of this
gig, and hence they don't want it being distributed beforehand.
If you're wondering, yes, the gig is absolutely amazing, and I will most
certainly be buying it on the day it's released.

Agreed. PLEASE BUY THIS CD from John and Jordan when it is released. The
sound quality is just freaking AMAZING. And once they get it in a studio
and mixed and produced, it will sound even BETTER!! We need to support
these guys because they did this on very short notice and came out with
spectacular results.

Hi all!
I went through my music collection recently and
decided to sell off a bunch of CDs and videos I don't
use much anymore.
All CDs are in playable condition and don't skip.
Most single CDs are $4.00, most double CDs are $9.00.
If something is rare/hard to find, import and/or in
like new condition, I'm asking for just a bit more.
Price does not include shipping and/or insurance
and/or delivery confirmation. Final shipping cost
depends on how many CDs/videos you want, and how you
want them shipped.
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, so
feel free to e-mail me (pokgaitsai@yahoo.com).

My first exposure to Boston was at a friend's house who was a guitar player
and he was an Audiophile just like his dad... Very into high quality stereo
equipment and speakers.
They have those expensive KLIPSE speakers (I forget the exact spelling) that
are HUGE and take up a corner of a wall (they were like 4.5 - 5 feet tall).
I think the receiver was a huge Carver. That thing had some POWER. He
played Boston for me at a very loud volume and it was better than a concert
sound. That was years ago and I can still think back to it and feel my ears
ringing, but in a GOOD way :)

Recently someone was talking about Boston and how great the singer was and
all that. Well as a sheltered child (now 21) I was never exposed to them
until tonite, well actually this morning ('round 1am). I must say that the
singer, indeed kicks large portions of anus. The music is awesome as well.
I think later on today when I wake up I will go buy their self-titled.
Thanks to whoever said somethin bout em and VH1 for reminding me.
Peace out ma bruthas 'n sistas

<<SymphX on the other hand has made a collection of songs on the same
topic, in my opinion.>>
You know, there actually IS a storyline going on, in fact, the
Japanese lyric insert has an entire song by song explination of it.
That is not my opinion, that is fact. :-)
<<SymphX is getting rusted in some kind of routine.>>
Ok, here's where I try to defend all the neoclassical/power/melodic
bands out there. Is there something wrong with not reinventing
yourself every album? I mean, just look at a band like Iron Maiden.
Do me a favor. Go get an early Maiden album like # of the Beast.
Listen to it. Ok, now go get Brave New World and listen to that.
Doesn't sound like they're breaking much new ground, but it still
kicks my ass across the room. If it rocks, listen to it, you know?
And if you're getting tired of the sound, listen to a different
band. There aren't gonna be that many "wonderbands" out there who's
entire catolog can feed whatever musical appetite you might have at
the moment.
On another note - Final Fantasy 9 comes out this week. Don't know
who else here is a fan of that game series...

(From an interview with Aimee Mann... some Rush content)
O: Speaking of popping up in weird places, what are you doing on
that Rush album? [Mann sings on "Time Stand Still" from Hold Your
Fire. --ed.]
AM: They called me up and asked me if I would sing. And I thought,
Rush? That's not my kind of thing. So I listened to the song, and
the part was this little falsetto thing. It was cute.
O: It's a fine enough song.
AM: Yeah. I don't mind the song.
O: Do you still get royalty checks from that?
AM: Oh, I don't think so. I doubt it. They gave me $2,000. That's a
lot of dough.
O: Canadian or American?
AM: [Laughs.] That's the question! I think American. They flew me up
to Toronto, and they were really funny. Well, except for Neil
[Peart]. He wasn't very funny.
O: Well, he's a serious drummer. He's got to write all those lyrics.
AM: Yeah. But the other two guys are very, very funny. Canadians are
funny. People are finding that out.
O: Neil Young isn't funny.
AM: Okay, how about this? They're either funny or crazy.
