Hey guys, can we end the keyboard discussion, its all been worked out before. We know that Jordan is not limited at all by his one keyboard, and in fact his ability to do it all on one probably gives him more freedom. I would say most likely Dream Theater doesn't change their setlist because they can't remember that many songs. DT have a reputation of being extraordinarily precise when performing and especially with a new member in the band, maybe they just can't handle or can't be bothered handling changing the set list, which is fine by me cause I'll never get to see them live anyway.

Some troller wrote >> Actually, I started making a font to simulate the DT text, using Macromedia >> Fontographer, but I got as far as the first R and got bored.

    >Wow, d00d, that means you got the "D" done!?!?!

    >I can see why you got bored - that's one whole letter!

    >By the way, sorry to hear about your cock. Woolcock - hmmm, did you get >that from fucking sheep?

    >Man, they grow 'em strange down there in Au.

That would be funny if I was seven years old, but Im not and neither is anyone else on this list, so unless you have stuff to say about Dream Theater rather than just insults, don't mail the Jam again.

A friend of mine gave me a tape of a band called "Crack The Sky" and I think they sound almost exactly like Echolyn. Way good stuff! Anybody know about them?

    Wowow...

that jam was 89 percent DT contenet Im impressed.

I couldn't give a shit about the set list, as long as Im lucky enough to see them, like that guy from GA said. It had been so long since they came to new orleans, i was very fortunate that they cancelled a date in Mexico City, moved the the arena there and played a date here before NYC. :)

Kurt Has anyone looked at the fan pic from Mexico, about half of the city is packed into that arena. :) Also in the new orleans pic, im the guy in the front with a Fear factory shirt on :) (left of the guy in blue)

It's not at all impossible to make the DT font. I believe it exists, if only because it's been used in so many different forms. They either designed it themselves or got the font from some font service, likely... I believe the record company must have had someone make the font by now though. And as for having different looking "A"s that's taken care of by specifying one as a cap and one as lower case (even though both would appear as versions of the uppercase "A.") Not only would this not be impossible, it wouldn't even be difficult. It would take time, however, and I'm sure there's someone here who would get a kick out of bing the one to provide the font... and that ain't me. :)

So I'm watching the VMAs on rerun (since I didn't see them the first time) and I am AMAZED that N'Sync is actually performing live! As in, they're not lip syncing. You ask me how I can tell?

Well, I have three reasons to believe that they're actually singing. The first is that I am a singer and I can tell when somebody is actually singing what is shown in the television set. The second is that the mixing job is rough; in other words, somebody is actually trying to mix their voices together as it's going (as opposed to Britney Spears who was most definitely lip syncing - her voice sounded too perfect like it had been recorded not only with a condenser mic but had been through compressors and eqs already). The third is that they had live musicians (and we all know how hard it is to sync live music up to prerecorded voices).

This really impresses me. As much as I didn't used to like N'Sync, the more I've seen of them the more I appreciate them. They continue to impress me.

I know I'm gonna get flamed out the wazoo for this :)

I was just wondering: how many of you here in the list have had a chance of catching Deep Purple's latest tour, the one where they perform Jon Lord's Concerto? I saw it last night and I must tell you: it's something you can't miss... Ronnie James Dio sang with them, as he does in the live album they released last year... If anybody's interested, I can write a review of this show... If not, a little advice: don't miss it if comes nearby you... Cheers, Adriano

I have their 'best of' CD called Crack Attic. Great stuff. A friend of mine who owned a small prog CD shop years back was always telling me I needed to get into CTS. I bought this CD a year or so ago. They are very different and have influenced Echolyn.
