Indeed it is. Rebecca Rice, who is an African American writer, sang this song
at my brother's graduation. It's probably a bit different from the King's X
version but I haven't heard it, so I can't really say.

I have a cd by Rising Power. Mike Portnoy's first band.
It has obviously been re-released since the advent of Dream Theater, and has
a nice little blurb in the booklet about the band Rising Power, and about
Mike. Also some pictures of the band. (According to this Mike was about 16
when playing with thses guys, before he opted to go to Berklee)

    Is this out of print?

    Is it rare?

    What's it worth?

Here's a paragraph I pulled off of the Ill literature site. I don't know if everyone already knows ALL of this already or not...And as for the reissues, where do you think a good place to order them from in the US would be? Who'll get them first on the net and have them fairly cheap?
    Bob

    Ill literature Site:
The title of the next Opeth album will be Blackwater Park. The album is due to be recorded during 7 weeks at Fredman studios starting August 14th. The album will most likely feature 8 titles, amongst them a 12 minute epic bearing the album title. The material is said to be a twisted and schizophrenic blend of evocative riffs and arrangements put together with an overload of sheer emotion and will be released during February 2001. In other Opeth news, the band's first three albums (Orchid, Morningrise, and My Arms, Your Hearse) are being remastered and reissued. Each reissue will include updated artwork and sleeve pictures. The following bonus tracks appear on each release: "Into The Frost Of Winter on Orchid; "Eternal Soul Torture" on Morningrise; Celtic Frosts "Circle Of The Tyrant" and Iron Maiden's "Remember Tomorrow" on My Arms, Your Hearse. The albums should be available on October 2nd.

<< In spite of the label, this is the only KX song that actually mentions the name of a higher power ("Lord, I hear music, music over my head"). Check it out...of all the KX songs with obvious religious overtones, this is the only one with the word Lord in it (or God, or Jesus or anything else related). >>

Whoa....What cd's of King's X have you been listening to?? if you think that is the only song, you are mistaken. Here's just a couple quick examples from the KX catalog:

"What Is This?" Out of the Silent Planet Oh Lord it gets so complicated Oh Lord I don't know what to do God! It looks so hopeless But I know it isn't true.

"Looking for Love" Ear Candy A standard, a program, religion burns me at the stake I questioned, I listened, I worshipped. How can I relate? I worked so hard at it... oh Lord the bruises and the burns. I just don't, don't get it. I guess I lost my faith.

"World" Tape Head (never mind that there is a song called "Higher Than God" White racists, black hatred, never gonna die Religion, fascism, Armegeddon time Doomsdayin', God savin, everybody dies

"Move Me" Please Come Home Mr. Bulbous Move me God, Can you hear me cry God, Can you see me die God can you move me move me and move me again

Hey, this is a good story if you feel like reading it, but nothing useful...

I had to bring my accoustic guitar to school today for a bible lit song project me and a buddie did. I happen to be a bit, well, anal about my guitars, and this happened to be one of the nicer ones i have, so i decided to carry it around with me all day. Come lunch i wasn't very hungry so i busted her out and just sat there jamin to myself and a few people came up and started watching and what not, and before i knew it a had a small crowd. Several of them being good friends of mine (and DT fans) i played regression and everyone was singing along. sweet. I went into through her eyes and all these people kept on singing, it was sooo cool. Just then, in the middle of the song our dick head of a principal comes up and tells me i can't play guitar in school. I looked him right in the eyes and started struming harder, he started to get mad and the people started to sing louder, we kept going and going until he just got so angry he turned around and left. we continued for the rest of lunch. You know, I hate principals like this. The fact of the matter is that no school can really stop you from playing a guitar unless you're disturbing a class in progress. If you're in lunch, you're not disturbing any class, so why on earth would anybody want to stop you?

Then again, it IS school, and I've NEVER seen a principal who liked his/her students having fun. :P

Cool that your friends sang along with you, though. :)

If you are in Canada, and seeing Nightwish shortly, this post may contain some spoilers **

Just to add something to the review in the last digest: Nightwish was definitely at their best at the Tavastia Club. Of all the eight times I've seen them, only one gig has been better (that was at Tavastia as well). The band was perfect, no technical difficulties or anything, and Tarja sang like an angel (I mean more of an angel than she usually is). I stood at the stairs which is definitely the place to be: you see & hear everything, don't sweat so much even if you go crazy moshing, and you are noticed by the band... ;-)

Anyway, about the gig. They threw in a few surprises like "Pharao sails to Orion" and "Wanderlust" which really woke up the crowd. Lots of Wishmaster songs, but enough old material as well. This time it was both "Dead Boy's Poem" & "Walking in the air" that made me cry. They had beautiful special effects: snowfall over the crowd (some soaplike stuff) and two simple & tall paper "statues" filled with blowing air that made them move. The gig was sold out and the crowd was positively active...

I'm now listening to the MP3 of Nightwish's gig in Kuopio last Saturday (24 minutes)... I really recommend it, good quality stuff (national radio station broadcasted it), and there you can hear how good they sound live and how beautiful the Finnish language is (spoken by Tarja)... just to repeat the URL: http://keskuskoulu.kajaani.fi/~nightwishfi/mp3/Nightwish- Radiomafia_Kuopio_23092000.mp3

hi! mi name is julio and i am new in this list. i am a HUGE dt fan for = six years, so i have some questions that you are able to respond ...

    1. i have recently bought "the spirit really carries on" bootleg, = recorded on 04/02/00, and there is something wrong at the end of that gig, = because people ends screaming "bullshit, bullshit, bulshit, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh ..." and "fuck you" to dt. what happened = that night?

    2. i also have bought sb's "day for night" and i love it, but i think = it is a bit "softie" (softer than dt albums: no petrucci or portnoy = available) and i would like to know if the rest os sb's albums follow thay way, or if = are "heavier", as dt.

    3. when is arriving the video/dvd of roseland? christmas?

well, i have no more questions (still ...)

    thanks a lot !

PRESS RELEASE! OUR LATEST & GREATEST IS JUST RELEASED!

THE MILLIONS CD - VOL. 12 Over 15 MILLION of the VERY BEST email addresses available!!

The Millions CD - VOL. 12, is the ABSOLUTE BEST product of its kind anywhere in the world today. There are NO OTHER products ANYWHERE that can compete with the quality of this CD. We've even outdone ourselves with this volume.

The Millions CD - VOL. 12 is comprised of over 15 MILLION PREMIUM & SUPER clean email addresses - you can start mailing as soon as you receive the CD! Each file contains up to 20,000 email addresses. The addresses are seperated by domain.

NO "duplicate" addresses. ALL "dupes" were filtered out.

HERE'S HOW WE GET THE CLEANEST EMAIL ADDRESSES AVAILABLE ANYWHERE!! 1. 200+ million lines of email addresses were filtered and duplicates eliminated. This process, alone, reduces the list into a manageable number. 2. Another filter list of 400+ words / phrases were used to reduce the lists even more. No addresses with profane or inappropriate wording survived. 3. A special filter file was used to eliminate most of the "web poisoned" email addresses from these lists. Most of the lists we purged were full of bogus addresses. One list, in particular, had over 90% poison in it. Our EXCLUSIVE system reduced these types of addresses to zero. 4. A "daily updated" anti bulk email list of terrorists and general anti-internet advertising extremists was used to rid our lists of those people who, in a cowardly and deliberate manner, attack all marketing people who choose to utilize the greatest marketing discovery of all time - DIRECT EMAIL. Our database of these individuals is the largest one maintained worldwide and it keeps our lists free of undesirable and extremist elements. 5. In addition to the above, we also maintain a database that we update EVERY DAY. This database contains undeliverable addresses, AND addresses of those who have asked to be removed from any and all mailing lists (this is comparable to the opt-out kind of list maintained by the DMA, etc).

    6. We then take the addresses that are left and use special software that enables us to verify that the addresses do, indeed exist. (This software will work for most, but not all domains.) OWNING THIS CD . . . is equivalent to you having to buy ALL THE LISTS and CDs of our competitors, plus the huge amount of resources our team secures through private means.

THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE IS . . . . our lists are thoroughly cleaned & free of all the "filled" & "bogus" addresses used by our competition to add inflated numbers to their lists. We perform hundreds of hours of production and thousands of dollars in order to offer you the cleanest and PUREST CD of quality addresses found ANYWHERE worldwide!

Sending your marketing letter to 100,000 addresses from our lists is equivalent to sending 1,000,000 (ONE MILLION) of our competitors addresses to equal the same response, sales ratio, etc. Wouldn't you rather send just 100,000 instead of 1,000,000 letters? Just think what results you would get if you sent 1,000,000 using OUR quality lists! With our lists you will send less and get more results.

OUR LIST WILL RESULT IN: Higher response ratios Higher sales ratios More receptive prospects; less flames & non-buyers LESS contact with anti-commerce radicals who want the net for themselves!

Here is what you will get:

12,613,326 Verified Addresses 2,601,806 Not Verified Addresses 287,956 Domain Verified Addresses

This product will prove to be the best of it's kind compared to ANY CD in terms of hours and money spent bringing it to market. No competitor will ever duplicate the effort of what it takes for us to produce this final product. We don¹t compromise quality, and we surely won't release any product before it passes our "high standards" test for quality.

"You can buy the all of the REST or you can buy from the BEST"!

THE MILLIONS CD - VOL. 12 IS THE BEST! __________________________________________ HERE'S WHAT THEY'RE SAYING . . . . "I received the CD on Friday. Like a kid with a new toy, I immediately started mailing out using the new email addresses. ]From the CD. I am 100% totally satisfied with my purchase!!" David Buckley, Houston, TX

"This list is worth it's weight in gold. I sent out only 100,000 emails for my product and received over 55 orders! Wow!" Anne Colby, New Orleans, LA __________________________________________

I just got Halfords new album. Typical power metal, his voice does sounf killer! Why can't he get out of the judas priest kind of metal? Straight ahead grooves, no jams. Cool disc, and those who like German power metal like hammerfall should like it, not too much soloing though....
