That's it, guys. I'm done with this list for now. The list owner
doesn't give a shit about this place and it only is getting worse with
time. If, for some reason, this list ever rids itself of all this
spam, please spread the word and I'll happily come back. In the mean
time, I'm not going to pretend this is "okay" anymore.

Skadz, you used to be cool - but you don't contribute anymore and you
refuse to acknowledge that this list needs to be overhauled.

So I'm going to do what everyone else here is afraid to do. Say this:

    Fuck you, Skadz!!!

Thanks for nothing, ya deadbeat listowner.

P.S. Damn right I'm bitter. I used to love this place.

For all the ones who like Tribal Tech, Vital Tech Tones, Paradox (Billy
Cobham project with Bill Bickford - guitar and the bass monster Wolfgang
    Schmid :) I have good news. :)

Deutch band called DREI VOM RHEIN. Great stuff.
Great groove of the Drums/Bass backbone and fusionish guitar.
    Check it out

Now with the comments I've read, I wonder if there's a new deal in the works

band and hopefully they don't pull a Metallica and force a membership fee
    first. Paying twice
    for a CD is bullshit.

Which makes me wonder what DT needs a major label for anyways? I mean I dont
know what its like other places but if it wasnt for the website and this
list I wouldnt hear a peep about DT. Ani Difranco with her own label gets
better support and promotion than OFB does it seems to me. I would assume by
now that DT has its base established, and it seems they arent really gonna
break into the mainstream any time too soon. Does anyone know when their
contract expires and if we would supoprt DT if they decided to go it alone.
I for one would love to see them band up with a few other bands they have
connections to and set up a collective of progressive metal bands, put
together a studio, have everything self produced (they do it anyways) and
they could still get their products to their core market (us) and make a
    better profit from it.

Its seems to me DT is a prime candidate for going it solo. They already have
the connections, the talents and the knowledge to do it all themselves, in
    many instances they have!!

    What do you all think?

While I'm not at the point of unsubbing, I certainly share Dave's sentiment.
Can anyone see the positive impact of the supposed "SPAM filters" that are
being used? I show 14 SPAMS coming to the list so far this month. That
compares to 10 by this time in May, 15 from April 1st - 10th, and 8 from 3-1
to 3-10. What good are these filters doing again? They certainly aren't
    providing us with less SPAM.

Just as a note... the ex-Darkane singer ONLY performed on the Andromeda
disc as a session musician. When they were ready to record the album they
were singer-less, and the producer called him in to add vocals to the album.
They've gotten a new (permanent) singer since the disc came out.

I noticed he was listed as "session singer" in the notes. Any clues as to
what the new singer sounds like?

I have them both, and I have trouble deciding which I like better. Maybe it's
because they're very different in styles. But as where The Dream Sequencer is a
moody atmospheric rock album, and very good at that, FotUM is a brilliant metal
album with wonderful singing and superb musicianship in it. I disagree with you
about the concept though, I think it's a good story about the "father" (as in
the "son" in TDS) and what he finds on his journeys.

About PoS then, I only have One Hour... and I absolutely love it., Very moody,
extremely emotional album. I agree with someone who said something about the
guitarist being sloppy, usually it bothers me, but not in this case. Daniel's
voice is very distinctive, and I like it, it suits the music pretty well. To me
the disc gives plenty of new vibes, I have not heard any band that would sound
    the same.

I have heard Entropia only once or twice, and I have tried ever since to find
that album, it's a must have. Can't say anything about The Perfect Element.

I saw Tool live at the Barrowlands on Friday. It was cool. There were
video screens showing lots of weird stuff, including naked women. The
bald singer guy didn't say very much though. Maybe it's part of his
    "mystique".

The gig was sold out, and the audience was full of beautiful young
women. A nice change from the gigs I usually go to! :-|

Sounds awesome Graham! Apparently Tool are set to announce an Oz tour anytime so I can't wait to see the show first hand. Yep, Maynard is a pretty weird, mysterious kind of frontman but he's very good. What was the setlist??

Don't have a clue. I only know the names of two songs - "The Grudge" and "Schism" - both of which they played. I did recognise a few more, but I've no idea what they're called.
