"penis enlargement which can be done in the privacy of your own home..."

Well, finally! I've been absolutely green with embarassment when I have to whip out all my other enlargement kits on the bus or at work. The admonishments are non-stop!

"Sir, you'll have to put your penis away. It's girth is distracting to other commuters." "But I can't do it at home! My penis needs to be exposed publicly, otherwise how will people know that it's bigger?" "Sir, that pump has made your penis so large that it looks like you're carrying a baby. I'll have to charge you extra fare and require that you put it in a seat belt."

What a hassle! I wish someone would sell a penis reduction kit.

    >< >Our local bands, who pay for their own shows and CDs, would be killed if >their stuff was on some free website.

You really think so? I've discovered hundreds of "local" bands because of Napster and/or websites.><

These local bands make new albums with the money they make selling their old albums, which usually are sold in area CD stores. If everyone downloaded and burned their songs instead of buying albums, the bands would not have enough money to make new albums. That is the point I have been trying to make all this time. With DT, of course, it's on a much larger scale, but it's the same principle.

But this is the same faulty argument people keep using. Not everyone who downloads a bunch of songs off the net will burn them instead of buying the album. A lot of people will actually go out of their way to buy the albums. If 50 people liked the songs enough to buy the album, then the band is selling an additional 50 albums that they would have never sold.

Skadz, I hope that this doesn't mean that some of our email will be rejected due to subject lines and so on... Does it? I really, really don't understand why you won't simply disallow posts from non-subscribers. When we asked whether anyone strongly objected to that idea, *no one spoke up*. It is a very simple approach to eliminating spam and we don't have to worry about getting our own posts rejected. The argument that some people use multiple addresses to post just doesn't hold water or else we'd have heard about it. If everyone is willing to put up with the 'hardship' of posting from a single account, why won't you implement it? If we find out in a month that there is some horrendous penalty to disallowing non-subscribers, hey, we can then go back to Jeroen's filters. No harm done. But, instead what I think we'll find is that the Ytsejam becomes a better place than it has been recently. When people start leaving due to the spam, as they are, it's getting to be too late. Thanks for your consideration.

    Steve

P.S. I'm not normally this vocal about spam but I'm tired of good people leaving the Jam just because a simple fix won't be implemented. I miss them.

    Jammers,

This is a test, this is only a test. The last few messages I have posted have failed to make it into the jam, just wondering if this one will.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has "The Island of Misfit Toys" by a band called Timothy Pure. I got it a while ago but, man, this is some good stuff. Great melodies and some really great vocals. Check it out if you can!

Ok, first off, let me say, I know this is going to sound nasty, and i apologize for that, but hey, I get nasty sometimes. I finally do what people having been bitching and moaning about for who knows how long and within the first 10 freakin posts after doing it, someone is bitching about the fact that they are in place and they don't like them. I've taken enough shit about this issue over the last few weeks/months, I don't need it now that I actually did what all these people were begging for.

And all I am going to say to answer you question Steve is, have you seen my e-mail DETAILING on exactly what the filter system is? No, I know you haven't because I haven't sent it out yet. GUESS WHAT? HALF THE FUCKIN SYSTEM _IS_ ONLY LETTING SUBSCRIBERS POST. So, before you start spewing at me again, make sure you are fuckin informed.

My apologies for jumping to conclusions. I'm glad to hear that you're no longer letting non-subscribers post. I'll look forward to hearing more about the filtering system.
