Hi ALL,
URGENT REQUEST BEFORE I DIE FROM MUSICAL STARVATION !!!!
I have all the Mr Bungle albums but recently I crashed my hard drive and
lost all that Napster gave me on Mr Bungle live/covers/weird stuff
:(
:(
What I need most is Super Mario Theme which I find EXCELLANT and that I was
trying to learn on my bass :(
What's strange is that Napster seems to have been cleaned, and all links to
this mp3 seem to be dead :(
To get the smile back on my face could anyone tell me where I could find
this particular mp3
and why not the others for that matter.
You can PM me if you want
Don't send it though yet as if your 10 to send it'll take me hours (I'm on a
56K modem).
Thanks and please save me,
A carbon based life form descended from an ape.

Went to see Planet X here in Adelaide last night.
Derek Sherinian was of course magical on the keys,
but Virgil Donati was just blowing everyone away
on the drums... I've never seen a better drummer
in my life... (would love to see MP live, but here
in Australia, that doesn't look like happening
anytime soon). And you have to checkout Donati's
tiger striped sideburns/beard... pretty freaky.
The band was quite alot heavier that
I expected (which was a good thing) with abit of
the Awake sort of sound in parts.
Highlights of the night were of course all the
solos, drums in particular, and the guitar/keyboard
dual between Tony MacAlpine and Derek... these guys
are tight.
With people going on about Derek's ego and stuff, I
can safely say there was no sign of that, and the
band interacted well together and seemed to really
be enjoying playing. Derek was even chatting with
fans before the show, and the band met the fans
afterwards.
Overall concert rating... excellent

Requiem for a Dream is one hell of a powerful movie. Everybody (as long as
you don't mind a DARK, DEPRESSING flick) should check this one out.

I noticed the tapes at my local video store were listed as "edited version"
-- anybody know the difference(s) between it and the non-edited?

I agree...
Raymond Herrera is an awesome technical drummer.
when I saw Fear Factory live a couple of years back on the Obsolete tour I
could have almost sworn that I was hearing a drum machine! His performance
was faultless!
As far as feel goes though, he has none!
He's excellent but far too clinical.
Paul.

It's about dreams people have and how painfully and inevitably they fall apart.Main characters are a widowed mother that gets addicted to diet pills, her son and his girlfriend who are both addicted to drugs. Very vivid and intense.I liked Aronofski's previous film better that's called "Pi".It's been described as a mathematical thriller. You can find on vhs.
cheers!

OK, maybe Producer isn't the word I wanted. I'm not really into the whole recording thing, but some bands MAKE THEIR OWN RECORDS WITHOUT A LABEL LOOKING OVER THEIR SHOULDER. Maybe that's what I was trying to say. Look at some of our local bands, like Back Porch Mary, for example. BPM has only released one album, but it was mass-produced and everything. They made it on their own, as far as I know, and the music is (obviously) not commercial or sales-oriented. It's BPM-oriented. The music is made to sound like the band wants it to sound, not like what some guy in a suit says it needs to sound like. Someone else mentioned something similar to this, if DT got their own studio and made their own albums. My point was that they could do it, if they had the money. If we screw them out of, oh, say two million sales (I'm sure there are at least that many people who download albums instead of buying them), or half of all the albums OFB had sold prior to the release of SFAM, they will not be able to afford to do this. The other guy that mentioned this had the same idea that I did, he just was a little more clear about what he meant. When it comes to the technical/technology side of music, yes, I am stupid. But Steve Unruh, Back Porch Mary, Sharkey's Little Groove Box, The Moody Hooters, Bitter Sane, and several other local bands have tried this method and it works. DT could do it on a much larger scale, since they have a much larger audience. They could get a "real" studio, and make millions of CDs instead of thousands (yes, some of these local bands have made over a thousand records). I know it can't be all that hard, because Steve Unruh is a good friend of mine who makes his CDs (his third, a two-disk Progressive-Rock/Folk album, just came out) in his free time between 19 hours of college classes a week. His ability to have complete control over the music shows in every song he writes. Anyway, I hope I didn't lose everyone here. But I think you all get the idea/point.

No, I picked up the sarcasm. But, like I said, it (that whole argument thing) just hit me. I just thought, "This is a great way to introduce this argument, instead of just pulling it out of the blue." So I quoted his little thang, and then ATTEMPTED to make my point. But I knew (or was at least pretty sure) he was being sarcastic.
