See how that says "summer@anada.net"? It wasn't supposed to come from that
address. I run about 7 email accounts through this one Outlook, and they
all serve different purposes. I have some set up to nab from work or other
    places, some not.

I think I'm subscribed here at phairgirl@hoe.nu, or maybe
phairgirl@anada.net, I honestly don't know anymore because I have literally
hundreds of email aliases and many of them I don't use anymore. I can check
the headers and find out, but then I'd have to set up a new version of an
old account in order to unsubscribe, and then delete that old account and
sign it up with something else. More than likely at this stage in the game,
because of all the variables, I'd create a new email account specifically
for the 'jam just to avoid any switching in the future, and it's just damned
    annoying.

But if I have to, I will do it. See, I'm flexible :)

I own a couple of my own domains. I, too, use specific email addresses,
many of which point to null after I am finished with them. But those aren't
the problem at all! My email address is ALL OVER the internet because of
projects I run and such, to the point that every spider online that nabs
emails from web pages hits a goldmine with mine. I often get 4-5 of the
exact same spam mail sent to 4-5 different addresses of mine. It's a joy.
But I can't kill those addresses because I need to be able to respond when
    people contact me.

This is actually the perfect month for my example, because I decided during
May to not permanently delete my spam, just to see how much I receive.
Don't you know that by the 8th I'd gotten almost 100 spam emails? I've been
known to get over 20 on a bad day. And as much fun as it would be to just
kill 'em all, I can't because I run a magazine and a music site among other
things, and if people have problems finding the right, working address, they
won't bother, and that's just not cool.

So after years of this, spam does not bother me in the least anymore. I'm
handy with the delete key. So now you know... the rest of the story.

And now, just to make this post worthwhile:

Why is it that I can put on "Awake" and fall asleep before CIaW is over, but
if I put on Pink Floyd's "Animals," I absolutely CAN NOT FALL ASLEEP?

Many list server packages will allow you to subscribe without receiving any
email. You could subscribe six of your seven accounts to not receive email.
The seventh subscribe normally. That way you get one copy of all the
YtseJams, without the YtseSpams, and you can post from any of your
addresses. Not that big of deal really. Unless of course you need to know
"The Truth About Bankruptcy". The latest YtseSpam.

The "Awake phenomenon" is been known for some time in the DT community.
I'm told it has to do with reverse psychology. As for animals,do you consider
yourself a vegeterian? If not,it's simple, your belly button is screwed all

Let's take a guess... Summer uses multiple computers,
and multiple e-mail systems. Some of those belong to
other people, or she doesn't use them enough to
actually subscribe to the jam on all of them. But she
still needs to be able to send a message to the jam at

On the other hand, maybe she actually IS one of the

i think its pretty good. sounds sort of like he is mixing tool with perfect
circle, but i like both a lot so i dont mind :) have you heard any of the
fake versions out there? some of them are really funny :) my personal
favorite (of the fake ones) is the one that is 8,088,679 bytes. if i was on
a modem and had just downloaded that big 8 meg file i would be pissed when i
heard it :) the other one i like is the one that is 4,220,928 bytes. if you
are on a fast connection i recommend you download as many of them as you can
find. i imagine they will become collectors items down the road :) anyways
they are interesting to listen to at least. moo.

Nope, just got a humble 56k connection. One other favorite fake is
    a song called Nirvana_cover_by_metallica(rare-rare-rare).mp3.
    Just 28 sec long :)

Anyway, the intro-main riff sounds kind of proggy (to me at least)
but it tends to get kind of repetitive throughout the song.
Different production than their other releases for sure.
And now some interesting Lateralus info very few people know
and i really need to share with you guys....

    ------------S P O I L E R---------S P O I L E R---------------

In the beginning of the songs "Grudge" and "Bridge of Ticks" there is
a drill-type noise that can also be heard at 11:08 of "Third Eye" of
    the Salival boxset. (no sh*te!)

    I think Schism is awesome.
It was pretty much what I would have expected as a single from Lateralus.
It's definately got a Forty Six and Two feel about it with a touch of Third
Eye and APC thrown in also.
I can't wait to get my hands on the cd on Monday!

The dj on JJJ here in Oz mentioned that Tool will be doing shows with King
Crimson and made the comment that it's "the prog rock gods from the 70's
teaming up with the prog rock gods of today!"
A pretty profound comment to make I would have thought. ;-P

What are the "fake" versions that are floating around on Napster of?
Aren't they just earlier Tool tracks disguised with the new titles?

    -Paul.

Well it's out there if you look, I have had the whole album in mp3 for a week now.
I am not a big fan of the band, but it's pretty impressive.

Speaking of touring, if Planet X can manage to find a promoter to bring them out to Oz
then why the hell can't DT ?
If anyone is going to the PX show at the Metro in Sydney and wants to meet up before the show
    then send me an email.
