One way to get around buying the books is to download MIDI files off the
web. Typically, they are at least close to the actual notes, and what's
wrong, you can fix. Of course, you have to be able to read actual music
notation (a lot of you guitarfolk can't or won't), and own some sort of
MIDI-editing software (Cakewalk, etc.) in order to be able to get around
the tab-money in this manner. The MIDI route is how I figured out the
"Tarkus" intro -- Keith Emerson must have a beastly-strong left hand 'cause
mine goes to jello after playing that riff for any extended length of time.
Anyone else here seen the previews for that new shitty reality show on NBC,
"Fear Factor", and immediately thought "Fear Factory?" Not that Fear
Factory deserves their own show after that pile of mediocrity
"Digimortal"... (and I *liked* "Obsolete")

A Fear Factory fan told me that "Digimortal" takes off after the 5th song or
so.
That the second half resembles "Demanufacture".Is there any truth in that?

I wish it did. It's not a terrible album, but it ain't a good one either.
