The clips I heard of ARK reminded me of Whitesnake. The singer sounds ALOT like Coverdale to me. Wasn't proggy but just metal.
Didn't strike me as all that great, IMO. Did I miss something?

not "experienced" enough with progrock to venture in on the possible
inspirations for this album, but I am convinced they have picked up at least
something from DT... A friend of mine said it sounded too "Norwegian" for his
taste, but I don't think so.

The first time I listened to both ARK CDs I didn't "get" them either. But after it sank in and a few weeks later I listened again, it hit me. Great stuff. Give it some time and listen again !
