    >Yep. That would be an original song by RUSH, covered by Dream Theater.

Oh, cool. I did not know that.

DT seem to have added a new date at Bradford in the UK on October
19th. I strongly doubt I'll be attending that one!

    Bradford? Why?

Cool, I'm glad that the Ytsejam will be represented at the show. I'll let you know if I decide to try the 'limited view' seats. If I don't do that I still might try for some scalped tickets. We'll see. If I do make it (and we don't hook up before hand) then I'll be wearing the bright yellow Ytsejam T-shirt made by Josh Rasiel.

And I wouldn't be surprised if they were asked to play something similar to the Rudess/Petrucci show. Possibly even acoustic guitar, with no vocals. Basically leaving MP turning some rainsticks and LaBrie shaking a couple of eggs...now that's a "musically compromising" situation.

I have an extra ticket for the DT/Satch show 9/12 at the Pavillion in Boston. I think that the face value is $40 and will sell it for that. As it is told to me, the seat is about 20 rows back, towards the center.

    Interested ?? Let me know.

    or points slightly north.

    My random thoughts:

The show was very entertaining, but I think the Great Debate was a huuuuge crowd killer. Some people did leave when Satriani finished, but not a lot. When DT appeared on stage, the crowd was on its feet... and stayed there till Great Debate came on. Then half the crowd promptly sat down, and another quarter up and left. That was too bad.

Luckily, our few rows were very energetic... the groups we were seated with knew all the words and really got into it. Partha and the Husband were thrilled that it worked out.

However, I was in section 6 right, row EE, wearing my new-model ytsejam shirt. About five or so rows up was another gentleman wearing the same shirt... but I couldn't get over to say hi, and he walked out and I didn't see him return before the set started. So, hi!

Getting out was a dream, compared to the Rush show. Leaving the parking lot for Rush was passive-aggressive. Leaving the parking lot for Dream Theater was just passive.

Um. Those are my thoughts. It is now time to walk away and finish waking up. Michigan football starts in 7 minutes. Go blue!
