Hmm, if money wasn't a problem....

Superior Evergrey (with a real keyboardist :)) Pain of Salvation Ayreon/Star One (we'd need a BIIIIG stage) Dream Theater Savatage (or Fate's Warning) Nightwish Symphony X -or- Devin Townsend Therion -or- Opeth (depending on how receptive the audience is to more extreme stuff) Iron Maiden

Of course, I'd then have to book a "pre-party" show the night before, and invite five more bands. :)

Hey! Today I was changing channels and stumbled upon, believe it or not, an Ozzy concert on MTV!!! I think it can be proclaimed as "official" that metal is back, now that MTV seems to have decided that fans of this genre do exist (after ignoring it for sooooo long). I think it's one thing to have a show that features the Osbourne family, and another thing to actually play the music that Ozzy does. The future of metal music is looking brighter.

TECHNO? Undanceable? Now, THAT's a first. The evolution of Techno (and most of the derivatives thereafter, including the awesome trance, ambient, deep house, etc) is based almost solely on danceable beats... I can't think of music that's more purely danceable than techno, except for some funk, and dance music (per se, I would also include polka music, and accordian music, when the two are mutually inclusive of course!).

Dont forget latin music like salsa, tango, cumbia, etc etc etc all of those are made to be danced to...

but yes, out of the "popular" genres out there techno (and its derivatives) is *the* dance music...

imo anyone who thinks prog is more danceable than techno needs to get out more ;) j/k
