Same here, althiugh for me it's more of a really BAD sore throat and
occasional cough. I initially ascribed the throat to yelling and
screaming along and to way tooo much cigarette smoke in the venue, but
it seems it goes a bit deeper than that....
It's a small price to pay for a terrific weekend. The next step is to
get Glenn the keys to the weather-control machine. :) (Still
didn't rain as much as in Chicago, though....whew!)

I know a couple of these CD's aren't strictly prog or prog-metal (especially Satriani and Silverchair), but what the heck...it's my list. I'd also say that most of the CD's below the #10 ranking really need more listens to fully judge them. There has been a slew of new releases lately (SB, Threshold, SX, PT, TFK, GH, Karmakanic, Bodin, and Okumoto) and I haven't really had a chance to fully evaluate all of them yet.

Hey guys... just been recently exploring the art of making your own songs using the lovely availability of software these days. If anyone has been going on the YtsejamDC and sharing stuff... you should share your local homemade tracks if you have any. This way we can spread ourselves as well as our influences! Come the 25th (new billing cycle starts then, fuck i hate my ISP), I'll be sharing some of my stuff too hopefully.

Well, I'm not part of this group, but I can certainly share what I've got:

It occurred to me recently that it's now 10 years since my first ever gig! That was Metallica at the SECC in Glasgow on 27th October 1992, on the black album tour. I'd just moved down from the back of beyond to the big city to start university, and at the time Metallica were my favourite band, so it was certainly a great way to start my education. :-)
Of course six months later I had discovered Dream Theater and saw them live at the miniscule Cathouse club, which was the start of a whole new journey for me, but that first Metallica show has a special place in my heart. :-)
Here's to another 10 years of great music, I hope!

The sound quality of this CD is excellent. This CD is absolutely better than any other "bootleg" I've heard, and is equivalent to a regular live CD. Here is a quote direct from www.theflowerkings.com concerning the CD:
"The CD was recorded at New York's Bottom Line club and is a mixture of an audience recording and a soundboard recording. These two recordings have been mixed by Roine and are, in his own words; 'slightly more professional than the audience recordings that circulate.' The recording was taken from the 'late' set of the bands two performances on 14th April 2002 and features the set highlight, a 50 minute rendition of 'Garden Of Dreams'."
