careful, that album is from a jamband, and even (gasp!) features the
bass player from phish on it. you may incur the wrath of the
"proggier-than-thou" anal-retentives on the list...

We need more participation on the Ytsejam DC. The last several times I've
jumped on there, all that's happened is that a bunch of (damned!) 56k'ers
just sit there and leech off of me for hours at a time. I'm sure the other
high speed (though my measly 30k/sec upload speed is only marginally "high
speed") users are having the same issues.
It's a great idea, but we need some more high speed users logging on in
order to make it worthwhile. Transferring MP3 (or much less SHN) files
to/from 56k'ers is essentially worthless... Maybe we could/should expand it
to some of the Forums out there (Portnoy/Petrucci/etc)?

In this same vein... I've recently come across an amazing tab/composition
program called PowerTab, from what I could read on the web site (which was
in German), it appears to be freeware. The program allows you to type in the
tab, then it formats the staff notation for you, and allows you to enter
just about every notation imaginable. I'll post the link when I get home.
Also in this same vein... Has anyone here used GigaStudio w/ Windows 2000?
If so, how stable is it? I've got a copy of Gigasampler LE, which isn't
compatable w/ Win2K, but the upgrade to GigaStudio 32 is only $40. I had a
bootleg version of Gigastudio 160 v2.5 at one point, which absolutely hosed
my system. Nemesys doesn't offer any demos, so I can't try-before-I-buy to
make sure the thing will actually run.
And since I'm a lazy, unorganized dumbass, who never bothered to write down
the info the first time, could somebody please repost the info on how to get
access to the ytsejam dc hub?

Can it make tab out of midi, any better than Doug Mark's
TablEdit did? Finale just doesn't cut it, not in the 2k3
version (haven't seen Finale Guitar yet). That's the
functionality I think a lot of people are looking for - a good
playability/convenience algorithm. If only more good guitarists
were computer-savvy...

Here's the link to download the PowerTab program I mentioned before:

I've got Norton's AV and ZoneAlarm updated and running 24/7, and have not
heard a complaint from either.

Hi all,
Actually I AM sharing some of my tracks in the hub, in the folder
<mp3/shai>
You're invited to download and tell me (privately or through ICQ
#16353527) what you thought...
The most recent song is Entrapped, which I recorded a few months ago.
Cheers,
Shai

Anyone been to the Symphony X show yet? What songs did they play?
Anyone going Friday at Jaxx in Springfield, VA?
I'm going, and as far as I know the show is sold out.
Gary
