just got home. it's always an experience to see DT, some a great some are
better. this was great. why not better? the venue sucked. MSG as a cube with
only 3 sides draped, half full (also much too big), BAD sound (too much
reverb on James, James too loud, JM either not audible or burying
everything, sometimes even the drums were not loud enough in comparison to
the vox).

I am not completele sure about the order of the first set, maybe somebody
can correct me there. Lots of awake, more FII than usual.
It was interesting to see 6doit, although as a whole song I think its not so
much fun life, because James spots are too sporadic. he comes for a couple
of lines, then goes off, then comes back again. it looked tough for him to
keep focus.
what concerned me alot was the thought of John Myung with gray hair.

shows you exactly how to use the font correctly. :)

Even if it could only support ten or twenty users at a time, it would be a
great help. Every time a new boot comes out, it's near impossible to get a
copy because the boot takes time to spread to other FTP servers. If LiTS
could host as well, it would be one more server, and could help the
distribution to others that can host.
I'm not trying to tell you guys what to do or anything, and not saying that
it would be as awesome as the old LiTS was, just that it might help.
Beliebe me, with my 3GB limit per month, I'm fully aware how expensive such
sites could become :P

Yes, well, unfortunately I lack the creativity and the time to create the
remaining letters of the alphabet, so, yes, you're limited to the letters
of the DT logo. It IS, after all, the Dream Theater LOGO font. :D

I dont really remember if it was this list that was talking about it, but I finally grabbed Frederik Thordendal's Special Defects (solo project from Meshuggah's guitarist). It is without a doubt the most insane amalgamation of jazz, metal and complete and utter (nice for Halloween I would think) SCARINESS. It's a mixture of say, a low evil priest kinda voice talking, insanely timed jazz metal (read: Meshuggah crossed with, say, Mahavishnu), thrash a la Meshuggah plus church organs, tortured screams, and even piano solos. The worst (read: best) part is Frederik's main "singing" voice is a demonic sort of ruptured throaty voice that scares the crap out of me. I love it!
If you like metal (warning: growling vocals got nothin on Thordy!), give it a try!

access than to allow 10? What I do understand is that it must be a ton
of work to keep that site up. We appreciated the service.

Well, think of it from a customer service point of view. You'd have a
hell of a lot of unsatisfied customers who can't access the site and are
pissed, as opposed to an entire customer base who accepts the fact that
they can't download and is more or less okay with it. In addition, we'd
have people trying to monopolize on those ten slots, trying to stay
connected all the time to download the data. It's just easier when more
people can access it because there's more of a hope for the user to
connect. When there are only ten slots available, it's a much more tense
situation than when there are no slots.

I would suggest someone if possible put up an FTP just for this list. I've
seen it done before on other lists. The login and stuff is only for members
of this list exclusively, and nobody else. That way only a handful of people
need / want at a time, and they can get access to stuff that people
recommend to each other.
