Those of you who are interested in reading reviews of the Dream Theater
Official Bootlegs, check out www.metal-e-zine.com. In the 'Music' section,
scroll down to Dream Theater in the alphabetical list of albums.
The reviews are full of spoilers, obviously. Also, they are not entirely
positive (they were written by me, and I am quite a fan, but still I found
    some faults here and there).

I got mine on Monday - Ah! the benefits of knowing some folks in the
    ticketing business

    > Me being lucky living in London, thought I'd pop down to the venue
    > and get them over the counter, but they've stopped selling direct
They stopped selling direct earlier in the year and have thrown their lot
in with the evil ticketshafter folks. The alternative site is
    www.carlinglive.com/

    > The website gives the option of standing only tickets - strange as
    > it is an all seated venue. Afer a little investigation, it seems ...
Not so! From sometime in October, all of the seats in the stall will be
removed. Seating will reamin upstairs for those who dont like to have their
drinks spilt :) All gigs from Nov 2003 are standing only downstairs

    > So, question for Graham - you said you managed to get front row
    > seats - are you sure they are what you think they are?
Doesn't he have front row tickets for Manchester? I should have too :)

Just like watching the Arse ;)

not sure about the Kings X, but before that there's Bloodstock,
Nightwish \m/, Progpower and PoS in Sweden, then a little later on
    Dream Evil/Falconer, Nevermore/Arch Enemy, Evanescence, 21st Century
Schitzoid Band and other delights before the year is out. Not forgetting
the final live gig from Camel on Oct 28th.

1st person to mention the DORKness on the list. I succumbed and
bought the album - not sure about them live though. They've good
a bloody great PR person working for them tho!

The gig is at the Mean Fiddler (strange since they filled the larger
Astoria last time out). The gig was originally arranged for October 4th or
    something and has been re-arranged.

I have front row seats for Manchester. I ordered seated tickets for
London, thinking I'd get something near the front of the stalls, but
now I've no idea what I'm going to get. If they give me seats upstairs
I'll order new tickets for downstairs and flog the old ones on
    Ebay. ;-)

Hmmm...ya know after that, I got thinking on it...I'd still prefer a clip or demo. LOL! Seriously though, I am sure alot of people will enjoy this contest which is really great for them. I just can't seem to get into the idea at all. But it is probably just me. Seeing the charts are kinda cool. I really dont anticipate reading them along with the song when I do hear it...it has the same effect as saying "gee The great Debate has a section that sounds like Tool..." . I'd rather just think of it as a new DT song than a song that is influenced by whomever. Either way, I hope the contest furthers the cause.
