I lost touch with him after we traded tapes a time or two. That's been
years, though. About Opeth, I have Blackwater Park, and I do like it
even though cookie monster vocals are a joke to me. Maybe the new one
they'll release in a few months will be completely devoid of the
    growling....

    Take care,

These links are cool! It wasn't what I had imagined space-dye to look like.

Sorry, if you were wearing these, I think I might have to rescue your hands
:P Either that or just run away :P

Did you note that the site says the space-dye mittens look cool with the
even more stylish crotchet ear flap hat?

Heheh... well, you wouldn't catch me wearing it, but my first reaction to
seeing it was "... cool! ... now get it out of my sight" :P

    Cheers!

    Happy New Year to everyone!

Since the topic has come up yet again.....been a member since '95. I remember when the 'jam felt like the coolest place in the world to hang out and read the 4 digests a day all the way through. It has (as is often pointed out) lost a lot of membership and a lot of the life it once had. Organizing the Ytsecons, get togethers before the Home For The Holidays tour (has it been 7 years already?!?!?!? where did the time go?!?!?!?), the "get the band in the studio" petition of 96, the introduction of some band called Superior, the rise and fall of Mike Bahr, etc....

I don't think it will ever return to the level of those days, but that's my opinion.

With that bit of lament out of the way.....

I've been going through my stuff lately and have come across some CDs and videos I don't want anymore. Most are in used but good or better condition.

    VHS Videos: Metallica - Live Shit Binge & Purge - San Diego Show (2 tapes) $7.00 Pantera - Cowboys From Hell - The Videos $3.00 Dream Theater - 5 Years In A Livetime $10.00 Metallica - S&M $10.00 Spock's Beard - The Making of V $8.00 Yes - Greatest Video Hits $8.00

Pictures are available of most items upon request.

Shipping cost depends on what you get, how you want it shipped and where you are located.

Open your eyes Mr Gelberg! :-)

I haven't read Kerrang or Metal Hammer for about 7 years. When they started giving ridiculous amounts of space to the likes of Korn and Coal Chamber (where are they now Kerrang?), I decided to stop wasting my cash. Although I do miss the posters from the middle which at one point (in my more metal days) covered all my bedroom walls. In particular the extra-large one of White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult.

I am too scared to read Terrorizer, haven't heard of sex to 9, and don't enjoy a lot of Total Rock's output, finding it veers much too much towards poodle perm / mullet / cheese rock for a lot of the time. However, I once phoned up to request "Anthem" by Rush and they played it straight away which was quite impressive.

Hark! I hear the wrinkles of Ytse elders echoing through the halls of Jamster land. It must be these narcotic pain meds I'm taking. :) No kidding.. I'm healing multiple broken bones from a little motocross incident back on Oct. 18th I'm now a member of the "Hardware Club" since I now have four stainless steel plates and a handful of screws holding my ass together.

As soon as I'm getting around a little easier, I have another speaker building project in the works. Since the accident, I've been a couch potato and have really learned to appreciate my DVD player. I've decided to integrate home theater into my main system. So it's processors and amplifiers and bears Oh my! Oh yeah, and some killer home-brew surrounds. I already have the woofers. I have the enclosures and crossover networks designed... Now all I need is the wood to get started. Sometime during the cabinet construction I'll order the tweeters and remaining parts to construct the crossovers.

I'm hoping to have the speakers finished by February so I have enough time to get my 2-stroke YZ400 freshened up for spring! Perhaps it's time to pass the torch to my 13 year old son. He couldn't keep up with his old man last year on the motocross track, and that's precisely why my ass is held together with hardware. My 41 year old body don't bounce back like it used to. :( Oh I'll still ride, but with a higher degree of caution. Doh!
