Good call on the Tull album...as for ranking, man that is tough. But here
is mine which changes...
1. I&W (the end all, be all...flawless)
2. Scenes (mostly because it seems like a sequel to the whole I&W album
eventhough it isn't)
3. Awake (in spite of Lie and yeah this is their heaviest disc by far)
4. ACoS (if they had put Eve and TLF on instead of the live shit, this would
be #2, the title track rules)
5. 6DOIT (some filler but there are a couple tracks on here that I LOVE)
6. FII (this one gets a bum wrap!)
7. ToT (this one has a bum RAP)
8. WDADU (this would be over ToT if not for the production)

For the second time in just over a week, we have gotten a bounce to the
Ytsejam asking for permission to send someone mail. Folks, if you are
going to set up external spam filters, PLEASE make sure that you add the
Ytsejam as a valid sender to your address. You will probably have to
add thing like:
To: ytsejam@torchsong.com
From: ytsejam@torchsong.com
Cc: ytsejam@torchsong.com
as filters which are allowed through.
Thanks!

Just to clarify, I didn't mean a carpet as in carpet of cloth under the snare stand, but the chain carpet (in Germany it's called carpet) directly under the resonance thing on the bottom. sab

I wasn't aware of that term. Makes more sense that way. No woven carpet under the snare is going to fix that gawd-aweful sound!

I know it's very short notice, but I have two tickets to tonight's Symphony X show in Cleveland. Unfortunately, I just found out I can't go. If anyone is interested, e-mail me ASAP and I can make arrangements to meet you somewhere. I think the show starts at 8. BTW, the tickets are free.

UK came about from a project that Robert Fripp wanted to start after King Crimson with both Wetton and Bruford with of all people Rick Wakeman. Fripp basically faded into the background and they recruited Eddie Jobson instead of Wakeman. Jobson had played on KC's live disc USA (overdubs). Allan Holdsworth then joined on guitar and that lineup recorded the self titled album. Both Bruford and Holdsworth left (mostly likely because UK wasn't jazzy enough) and Wetton & Jobson recruited ex-Zappa drummer Terry Bozzio for "Danger Money" (my fave) and the subsequent live CD "Night After Night". I love UK as you can tell. Jobson is a great player and very underrated. Wetton has one of the best voices in progressive rock.
